The only thing I would say (and not to dampen your spirits) is that you probably won't be able to eat and drink the way you've done this week in future weeks and lose that amount. First week is always a good loss especially if you've not dieted for a while.
I really don't want to take away from your great victory but just want to make sure you're aware.
Got home hungry and have sat down and eaten a crunch corner. Now i've got my sw online diary i see they're 6 each so could even have another cos i have been very good :P
Hea milk
B beans 1 slice bread (heb), mushrooms, egg and a banana
L beans jacket undressed salad satsuma
D rice (still cooking but soon be done) and chicken casserole made with loads free veg.

really been a bad week this week - start off with good intentions but then the day just seems to fall away for some reason
anyway here's the plan (!!) for today -
b/fast - 2 slices toast, 2 cheese triangles, mixed veg salad
snack - banana
lunch - carrot & onion soup, tuna salad, avocado, 1 tblspn light mayo
snack - orange
dinner - HM felafel, humous, Israeli saladMediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
I've decided that I will rejoin although it will be next week due to work commitments.
I've had 2 Weetabix for breakfast - I used sugar as the sweetener I was using was supposed to be a carcenagen (sp) can anyone recommend a safe sweetener.
I assume that is my health extra B
I've got a tuna and rice salad with various cucumber extra in it and 1 table spoon of extra light mayo.
I'm going to get some fruit for snacks - this is my downful snacks.
I've brought some fat free fromage frais running through asda last night - I've forgotten what I can use it for to be honest.
I've put a lamb casserole in the slow cooker - it's literally lamb pieces, carrots, onions and mushrooms as that was all the veg I had in with a couple of veg oxo's and bay leafs.
I would normally have toast and jam as a snack - does anyone have any suggestions for easy snacks to keep me off the wagon - I've not read this thread from the start.
Thank you0 -
:jWeigh In morning. -3lb :jsquee! Back on the wagon! Soooo happy.
Mojoworking. 2 Weetabix is a HEB yes, or – like you say about snacking, have one, with yoghurt and a banana sliced up, leaving you with 3 Rivita (I think it is but someone will confirm) to top with syn free cottage cheese/cream cheese etc for a snack. I find topping grapes and other citrus fruit with vanilla yoghurt is good for snacks too, especially if I serve it in a glass so I can pretend it’s all posh like
Mugshots are syn free. Slimming World wedges make for a great snack.
Quiche - homemade, no pastry base. Syn free fridge raiding right there!
Bake up some scanbran/banana muffins top with quark/1syn hot choc icing/sugar. Filling, tasty 3 syns at the max depending on how many bananas you use.
DD HP yay! Go you!
Lantanna, as Blodwen has pointed out. Keep your syns up around 10. Don’t STARVE your body of the energy it needs. While you think you are eating enough, please be careful. I know it feels good to constantly have the big loses.
But know that your body WILL shut down – it does, it did for me. Fabulous loses every week last year, keeping between 5 and 8 syns a day.
You’re ok for a while but you age very quickly when your internal body stops, insomnia kicks in and a foul temper rules your day, all because it thinks you are dying from lack of food.
I know we are raining on your parade, sorry.
Lecture over
Blodwen, if there is a pattern, then I wouldn’t lose to much sleep over it. It’s probably water storage. I hope you figure it out though, it’s heart breaking when you have been trying so hard.
Macep1 shred does work, but you really do feel it. I haven’t done it, friends have. You need to be 100%. Personally I don’t like it, I’d rather go the slow and steady lifestyle altering, boring way. I would never get to the end of the shred – let alone keep doing it to make sure the weight remains gone. I’ll stick to my zumba!
Well done BeanieLou!
MG – walking is the best exercise. So they keep telling me.

My favourite snack is roasted cauliflower - take a bag of frozen cauliflower and empty on to a baking sheet. Sprinkle over some herbs or spice - my favourite at the moment is Morrisons Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Lemon and Seaweed - then spray with Frylight and roast in the oven for 45-60 mins.SwipernoSwiping wrote: »:jWeigh In morning. -3lb :jsquee! Morning all,
Well done Beanie and SS and welcome Mojo
A good SW day for me yesterday- went to the pub straight after work (diet coke as designated driver as usual!) and didn't get home til about 8.30 so after we'd had tea, which was already cooked and just needed heating, there wasn't time for much else so didn't have anything sweet. May have something tonight if syns allow but we'll see. Definitely going to give shred a go tonight - I forgot that I talked OH into it at the weekend and he reminded me last night, so we'll both be bouncing around the front room - better put the cats somewhere safe so they don't think there's an earthquake! Feel really organised today - up early to get the tea in the slow cooker and make a salad for lunch- love having stuff sorted beforehand!
Red day today:
B: Porridge (B), banana, syrup (3), milk (A), pineapple
L: Ham and egg salad, mayo (1), apple
T: Slow cooked gammon, carrots, broccoli, asparagus, potato (B) gravy (2)
S: FF yogurt, pineapple, possibly a mini milk (2)
Have a good hump day folks2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Your so right, yesterday by the time I got home I was tired and cross.
A mug shot does not equate to a sufficient lunch lol.
I did treat myself to a Freddo last night.
Today will be better as I made sure I made my lunch up last night so here is today's menu.
B: Muller Lite, Plum & Kiwi
L: Boiled Rice, Ham, Pickles, Lettuce, Peppers, Celery, Houmus, Sugarsnap Peas, Spring Onion. Two Mandarins.Leftover Cowboy Hotpot with extra beans and cabbage
HE: 3 Laughing Cow Light Triangles with Lunch
Syns: Packet of Velvet Crunch 4 & WW Cookies 4
It is very difficult for me to get into my head that losing weight does not mean starving myself as I'm going against many years of losing weight that way and then regaining. I have always had issues with food - in my last slimming attempt a few years back when I lost four stone I would have a piece of toast at breakfast and then nothing until dinner - how bad was that! So you can see that I have to retrain myself and how it is a struggle for me!! Thanks for all the advice and support. It is great to have this forum.:T I think if they weren't called syns I would find it a bit easier - as syns means something bad to me! Its a wonder they are called and not something more positive as I am sure I am not the only one to think this way!0 -

I am too scared to start it as my neck is still niggling, still feel it when I am checking my blind spot when driving & also when I woke up this morning, hopefully in the next few days I can get on it, as I said 11 weeks until we go to the lodge in the lakes for our holiday so I want to shift the weight by then & my flabby tummy.
I have meal planned for the next 4 weeks so going to put that onto my SW sheet & make up my syn tin tonight. I am planning on factoring in ice cream & apple crumble on Saturday, does anyone know of LF ice cream?? Am not normally an ice cream person but love it with apple crumble, I plan on using the 20 cals = 1 syn rule for the crumble topping to work out syns for that. And cooking apples I know have to be synned but how many syns in say 2 large cooking apples? Just trying to plan in advance :rotfl:Blodwen, I will attempt they onion ring recipe you gave me after the disgusting disaster of last ones I attempted eeeuch!!!
After saying I was too disgusted to go on scales, I did & 1.5lb gain, I knew I had gained & I know why.
So EE Plan today:-
B - Melon, berries, pineapple, Nat yoghurt
L - WM Pitta (HEB +1), chicken in mayo (1), salad & dressing (1.5)
D - Ham, cheese (a), & mushroom omelette, actifry herby potatoes, veg
2 Syns for milk in coffees
Total syns = 5.5
ETA - I am going to make the apple crumble & toffee apple ice cream from SW web site, "real apple crumble" is tooooo many syns , SW one works out 8 syns for the apple crumble & ice cream:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T
