I've been very tempetd to try this version of lasagne, could you guide me through making the "cheese" sauce and what ingredients were used and how? :D

I'm okay with the tomato sauce, I can make a pretty good one consisting of lots of goodies!

    Thank you!

We didn't measure anything i'm afraid because my other half made a huge batch of what he calls 'the slimming world mother sauce' :rotfl:loads of recipes use it, veg stock, natural yogurt, cottage cheese, garlic and eggs. We put it in the liquidiser, then in a saucepan to heat it up, add the cornflour and parmesan and it's done.

Sorry I can't be more helpful!

Part of the Furniture Photogenic Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi all
What a thoroughly miserable day here-windy, raining, and pretty grim. Hope it's better where you all are?

    EE Day for me

    B. Pork and apple burger (?), dry fried egg on wholemeal toast (B)

    L. SW cauliflower cheesy soup (A), 2 x apples

    D. SW fish and chips, with mushy peas n salad (3)

Snacks, SW coffee mousse I made yesterday (1) maybe a fudge or curly wurly (6)

The pork and apple burger is from the butcher, so no idea of syns :(

That's okay, no apology needed. ;)

The thing we are struggling with is just deciding on what meals to have. We're obviously being smart and not having fat on any meats and grilling everything on the George Foreman.

I think the key for us is to plan for the week ahead so we can allocate syns and prepare meals in advance.

I was curious as to if anyone would like to help and cast an eye over our food diary for today?

35g of ALDI own Malted Wheaties (Healthy Extra) + 250ml of S/Skimmed milk for my other HE option.

[L] 1x can of Tuna in brine, drained, 2tbps of extra light mayo (4 syns - am thinking of cutting down to 1tbsp perhaps), peppers, carrots, tomato, silverskin pickled onions, lettuce

[D] Gammon (with fat removed completely and grilled on George Foreman, poached eggs/or fried in fry light (not decided yet), chips sprayed with fry light cooked in the actifry, beans and chopped toms

Nana, Apple, Grapes with ASDA fat free cherry pouring yoghurt (works out to 0.625 syns as does 4 servings so spacing out over 4 days - 2.5 syns in total) Herbal tea, normal tea with remainder of milke allowance.

We've been doing it for 3 days and it's amazing how so far my body has actually got used to this. I do not feel as hungry anymore between meals, yesterday and Monday were particularly hard as we'd pigged out all weekend! Lol. :rotfl:

I have also started walking in my lunch break, I've got the RunKeeper app for my iPhone so I can keep a track on my progress. It's good it keeps calories burned, miles walked/ran/cycled etc and it even gives you a map of your walks. :money:

You need to make sure you have your daily healthy extras each day, if you have bread outside of your healthy extras then this would count as syns, as far as I know.

Justin - glad you're enjoying it! All looks fine to me although I would probably try and have a bit more superfree with breakfast and tea - having fruit as a snack is great but it should be 1/3 of your intake if poss and extra veg with your evening meal is always good to ensure you get good losses :)

Thank you for your advice! We'll certainly be upping the intake of the Super Free stuff with those two meals. We're finding our feet so any pointers are great! :D

I think we'll plan out the meals for next week so that we can include a mahoosive intake of the SF food!
