Eating fairly healthily but the problem is the wee snacks
Today I have had three biccies and a large handful of chocolate chips
    Bah is all.

Aww beanielou I do feel for you. Wee snacks are usually my downfall too.

Hi everyone, I've just rejoined SW after leaving and gaining all the weight back. I found this thread invaluable last time. If anyone's thinking of joining a group, there's a coupon in this week's Woman magazine saving you £9.95 membership fee (came out on Tuesday, Carol Vorderman on the front).

I know what that feels like and it's very frustrating. What plan do you follow? Maybe you can post a menu and we'll have a look. Don't get disheartened, you'll get there!! x

seem to have come to a standstill lately.. I mainly follow EE but sometimes do green days..

usually have allbran + banana for breakfast, A+B

lunch today was mushroom soup from little soup book, yog + nectarine

tea was from the taste of asia book, spicy szechuan aubergine (peppers, onion, mushroom, courgette) added chicken too, boiled rice to go with it - 1 syn on EE

dessert, strawberries, blueberries, chopped alpen bar (3) LF greek yog

water and black coffee for drinks..

a STS wouldn't usually bother me but was disappointed today as I felt I had lost this week... oh well.. onwards to the next one :)
  • Beanilou - I know exactly where you're coming from. I was exactly the same for so many months.

To you and Mich_city all I can recommend is that you get back to basics and write everything down - before you eat it and then check yourself throughout the day. If we don't do that then we all know (and we all do it) that's how the syns creep in without us even thinking about them.

I actually spent a lot of time (more time than I really have) this week planning a couple of weeks menus. I'm going to plan another couple this week and then I'll basically have a month's menus ready and just have to prepare a shopping list accordingly.

We all know it works but we have to make it work.

  • WI this morning and I've lost 1.5lb this week which I'm happy with. I feel as if I'm back on track. I've planned and written everything down.

Tonight we have guests for dinner so just about to hit the kitchen to start cooking. We won't be eating until a bit later than I'm used to so I've factored in a good-sized snack in the afternoon so that I'm not ravenous. Also haven't taken into consideration any wine that I might or might not have (I'm not a big drinker!) but I have my full allowance of syns for today available if I want them.

b/fast vegetable frittata, 45g mozzarella, salad
    snack banana
lunch tuna salad, 1 tblspn light mayo
snack 2 slices wm bread, smoked salmon, tomato, 1 tblspn light mayo
dinner mezze salads (Israeli salad, Asian salad, beetroot salad, baked sweet potato humous, Turkish salad), Minestrone Soup, roast chicken, SW roast potatoes, tomato, pepper & chickpea salad
