  • It's Independence Day here today so everyone's heading out to BBQ somewhere around the country. We're off to meet up with the same group of friends we meet up with every year - we've all been over here for about 24 years.

We all divide up the food but there's always plenty of meat and plenty of salad so really hoping it shouldn't be too difficult. I've not added any syns in with my plan today just in case I end up eating something that I have no idea what's in it!

b/fast 2 slices toast, sweet potato humous, Turkish salad, tomato & balsamic salad (HEB)
    snack banana
    lunch BBQ meat, chopped salad
    snack fruit
dinner soup, vegetable frittata - 2 eggs, 45g mozzarella
    Mediterranean Mum

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j
  • Have a great time MM!

Some amazing losses here folks. :TWow!:j I hope you are proud/pleased/happy!

WI tommorrow for me, I have to say while I have been good with the meals. The snacking is ruining it I think - that and I just can't seem to stop with the cappuchinos. :( Scales will tell me in the morning I guess.

Well done Lantanna - amazing loss - whatever you're doing, keep on doing it!

Thank you. I was really really surprised as I felt like it might have been three at the most! I am drinking lots of fluids including green tea all day in work so I think that might be giving me a helping hand.

I was extra pleased as I had taken by parents out for a celebratory meal on friday night though I'd had Salmon, spinach and pots - there was butter and oil on all. I also did have a drink on Saturday night but opted for gin & diet tonic instead of my usual wine! I also kept it within my syns.

So this week I'm hoping for 2 or 3lbs.

    Today is as follows

    B: Banana, 2 Mandarins
L: Little Gem lettuce, radish, celery, spring onions mixed with a little cold boiled rice, ham and pickles
Muller Light with Kiwi, Strawberry & Plum
HEA: 2 Laughing Cow Light Triangles

Dinner: Not sure yet but will consist of cabbage, a small bit of butternut squash and spinach.

Have a good day everyone - We can do this!! :j

1 off for me last night, which is fine as it's * week. Bit disorganised today as the house is still upside down, but going to write a menu plan today and hope to make some soup tonight.

    Green day today:

L: Thai Mugshot (0.5), carrot sticks, apple, Alpen light ( half B)

    Have a good day all!

Thanks both :o The biggest tip I would give is to plan- I try and do a menu plan every week and shop accordingly, and even if I don't know exactly what I'm having I'll have an idea, e.g. something with pasta, stir fry etc. The other thing that works for me is having a treat every evening. I always have at least 5 syns spare for a Freddo or similar each night- gives me something to look forward to and stops me feeling deprived. Some people prefer to stay away from certain things like chocolate all together, but it works for me. I'd like to lose about another 2 stone, preferably by September, but we'll see when I get there!

Good luck Macpep - if you've stuck to it I'm sure you'll see a loss :)
