I am really sure I am doing something wrong as I have felt very full all day. Please can some kind person check what I have eaten and let me know if I am way out?

    B. Large grilled mushroom, topped with a poached egg, 1 and 1/2 grilled tomatoes and 1/4 can baked beans,

    L. bowl homemade lentil soup (lentils, veg stock, carrots, celery, leeks and swede) plus and apple and a kiwi chopped up and served with a little total 0% greek yoghurt,

    d. I made the carbonara from the 7 days, 7 ways booklet (quorn version) and served with rocket and cucumber. Muller light Turkish delight flavoured (wonderful :) )

Looks great to me - just keep doing what you're doing and wait and see what the scales say. If they're not moving then time to look at portion control. At the end of the day you're not meant to feel deprived so sounds like you're doing it right.

  • made a really great soup last night (not sure where I got the recipe from so thanks if it was from anyone here!)

    Carrot & Onion Soup
    1 bag frozen carrots
    2 lg onions, chopped
    1 apple, peeled and chopped
    1 tsp ground coriander
    1 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp garam masala
    2 indian-flavoured stock cubes
    5 c water
    salt and black pepper

Saute the onions for a few minutes in Frylight.
Add the carrots and apple and continue sauteeing for another 5 mins.
Add the spices and stir well to coat all the veggies.
    Add the stock and seasoning.
Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 30 mins.
Blend until smooth and adjust seasoning

Thank you for the help everyone :) Love all the meal ideas on here! Today is my first day back at work after the busy holidays operation. I am still a bit wobbly, so not planning to go for my morning walk today.

    B. Porridge with forest fruits and a dollop of fat free yoghurt.

    S. I have put in a banana for a snack if needed in the day,

    L. Made a salad with cottage cheese, mixed salad leaves and a half a tin of mixed salad beans. Made a tub of chopped fresh pineapple and melon.

    d. Made enough carbonara yesterday for two nights, so will have this with this with carrots. Maybe a mullerlight if hungry as bought 10 on the £3 offer yesterday.

Wishing everyone a positive sw monday :)

The humus sounds lovely. Is it home made? I am thinking of making humus to take to work as it would be nice and quick with a salad and ryvitta. I don't always get much time at lunch. I think you do very well sticking to plan when working at home :). I am sure I would get too tempted!

    Hi all,

I don't know, I don't post for a few days and posts from peeps both new and old turn up left, right and centre!!
Hi everyone (whoever remembers me). It's been rather a long time since I was here (about six months) but I've not been standing still and pleased to say that I'm probably about 10lb less than I was when I was last here.

Great to see you back  Lots of people have been asking after you, and you've done brilliantly to keep losing, well done :)

Welcome back from your hols Banjo and well done to Stef and other losers. It's a bit late but if you're reading Pennylane, it is worth giving Success Express a go if you haven't tried it before. I was always a bit suspicious of it but enjoyed it last week and it gave me the boost I needed. Good luck.

Not been on for a few days as had the day off on Fri and my mum was over for the weekend, plus the house is upside down with various works being done (and things that weren't done properly the first time being redone, grrr!). Still, all meals were planned and ingredients bought, and my mum is doing SW too so it was strictly straight and narrow all weekend. Made the meatball pasta bake (with beef mince as I didn't have pork) and it was delicious, OH liked it especially and was disappointed there wasn't seconds! Got WI tonight and been 100% including 2 SE days but it is * week so who knows. Clothes are definitely feeling looser this week and I bought a size 14 skirt in Asda yesterday (for £1!) - I'm not a 14 in anything else except tops yet so am not kidding myself but it does fit quite well so am pleased with that. A pair of size 14 jeans I got on ebay have just arrived too; am thinking they'll be a small 14 as they're Levis but I'll get into them soon. It's just so exciting being able to buy clothes because I like them rather than because they fit! Always wanted a pair of Levis :D

Anyway, I have rambled enough! EE today:
    B: Porridge (B), milk (A), banana, honey (2)
    L: Mugshot, apple, plum, yogurt
    T: Something potato based post-WI
S: Jelly tots, maybe a bit of bread

Have a good day folks :)

  • Thank you for your help with the pork mince everyone. I had already bought beef mince to use but as OH had tried to help by finding the recipe and going to the shops while I was at work I didn't want to ruin it too much!

Have made them for now, will syn them this time but use beef next time. If anyone else makes them can I suggest adding bacon to the sauce? They were really tasty but bacon would make it amazing I think!

It's very difficult working from home knowing that the fridge is within arm's reach!

    Sweet Potato Humous
    2 sweet potatoes
    1 tin chickpeas
    1 clove garlic
    1 tsp cumin
    1 tsp paprika
    juice of one lemon
salt & freshly ground black pepper

Bake the potatoes until soft, then take the flesh out of the skins and put in a processor
Drain and rinse the chickpeas and remove any skins
Add to the sweet potato in the processor together with the lemon juice and seasonings
Process until smooth and check seasoning

  • Feeling really proud of myself.

Got called out to deal with an emergency this morning, grabbed a banana on the way, and ended up spending hours more than I thought. Finally got back at 2, absolutely starving and no lunch ready!

MedMum of previous weeks would have grabbed anything and stuffed it down the gullet - but the salmon was defrosting in the sink and I cut it up and pan fried it and made it into a great salad - exactly as I'd planned for lunch today.

Hopefully because of late lunch I'll not need my afternoon snack and just have a cup of soup and then supper.
