    Hi Lantanna,

I know it is not strictly recommended in group but a few of us on here save up our wine syns for the weekend
Personally, I prefer to stay relatively low Syn on all weekdays (5 or under) and use the balance to save up for the weekend so I can relax and enjoy a few glasses of wine and still stay within my syn allowance for the week .

This is what I do, Try to keep my Syns to under 5 or less and use the bulk of them on the weekend. Got a chart on my fridge of 105 syns and count weekly. marking off the Syns as I go along. It works for me and every week I have lost weight. I like my wine on the weekend or a nice Martini and a little bit of chocolate plus I meet up with friends for lunch weekly and a night out once a month so doing it weekly fits into my life. Lost 3 lb this morning so takes my total loss to 2 stone 7 lb. Off to do some shopping this weekend as badly need some smaller clothes. Don't want to go mad as have another 4 stone to go. Have a great week everyone x

Blodwen thank you so much for the recipe links. I can't afford to go to a class until I get my pay at the end of the month, but there are lots of ideas there :)

    Today I have had:

B: porridge with berries and 0% greek yoghurt.

L: baked potato with homemade coleslaw and vine tomatoes

D: I am going to make the vegetable frittata from the recipe on the SW website and serve it with a green salad. Followed baked apples for pudding and served with natural youghurt.

Thanks for the advice and the encouragement. I did just feel like I could have done without the tuna pasta last night but I'd eaten it before I knew it. I'm just worried about the wine as my consultant was going on and on about how bad it was and how I should go without it for a month to give the weightloss a boost! Normally I enjoy a bottle of wine both nights at the weekend and a few beers which I know isn't great. But then its a lifestyle change that I need to get my head around. I have a stressful job and wine and a film at the weekend is my treat. Anyway it is great to be able to come on here to chat to like minded people

    So today I'm having

    B: Satsuma, Pineapple, Strawberries
L: Tuna, pasta in hm passata sauce, mixed leaves, sweetcorn, radish & beetroot
D: Bacon Omelette with peppers & brocoli or spinach

Drinks, 1 Coffee, 3 Green Tea, Water & Diet Dr Pepper :rotfl:

I'm only on this two days and I feel like I'm constantly eating!

Your menu sounds good - I know exactly what you mean Lantanna, when I first started SW I felt like I was eating far too much - had been following RC diet before and used to feel quite hungry

The wine issue shouldn't really be a problem - I nearly always have 1/2 bottle on both Fri & Sat nights at home plus a couple of drinks (cider is my other tipple) if we go out to the pub and I managed to lose weight and am now maintaining fine on that.

You could do what Always after a bargain does and make up a 'syn chart' to see exactly what you have left by the time the weekend arrives and plan accordingly - you seem to have very few syns in your meal plan so you should be fine :j

I am bored at work too this afternoon and like Blodwen & Macpep I am trying to look busy - must be the day for it ;)

Good luck to all those with WI today and hugs to any that need them.

I didn't realise that SF was mandatory on Green days (I've only ever had them by accident) but whichever way you look at it we know that fruit and veg is good for us. Quote from maman

Before EE came in you never had to have 1/3 super free, still have my old books, lost 2 st in 4 months! So if it worked then sure it will now.

My problem is I am a pig and eat too much, trying to have smaller portions and adding 1/3 SF to everything I think is not the way to go. Want to shrink my stomach so it does not want as much food!

When I went to class last year the consultant told us you could us your syns over a week, 105 I think it was, she had a count down on her fridge. She said the area manager who stayed in target took 2 bottles worth of syns off her total at the start of each week!

I do the 105 syns bank thing too. I'm at target and I've found it a great way of fitting SW into my lifestyle.

Don't want to put you off treating yourself but I used charity shops a lot when I was dropping sizes or some cheap basics from places like Matalan. I found it useful for smaller clothes but I experimented (cheaply) with colours I hadn't worn when I covered myself up in black from head to toes.

Thats what I do as well, I also have a 'treat box' I make up for hte week, It will consist of wine for the weekend :D, some french fries, freddos/kit kats/rocky biscuits etc, if I use say 5 syns on puff patry or gravy/butter etc, I just remove a 5-syn treat from my box, that way if the box is empty, I have no syns left, I also keep track of it on an excel spreadsheet which I have set up to auto-total my syns :D

Thank you, at the moment I am living in leggings as all my trousers are too big and many of the clothes I kept from years ago are still too small. I had some clothes that are basically near enough new and hardly worn but now too big so have sold them on a facebook selling group which has given me extra cash now to buy some in my new size. Gone from a size 22 to a 16. Thank you for the ideas. X

Evening all, not been around much just lately (not sure if I've been missed as a fairly recent newbie anyway!). Not been at all on plan last few days, my eating or as it happens the very lack of it is the very last of my concerns at the moment. Anyway I am still alive and will be back to SW soon!
