    Morning all,

Welcome back! Good luck, you know better than anyone that it works and that you can do it. Keep posting, it does help!

I know what you mean, it's so much more difficult at home. Could you prepare stuff in advance just as you would if you were working? Even if you don't feel like it, if you do it you'll be glad you did when it comes to eating it! I know I need to try some different meals so will be scouring the magazines and a few websites, might be worth it if you need some inspiration.

I haven't, what is it? Never actually had Scanbran but haven't heard great reports about it!

Well done Beanie and good luck Applepad

Well I didn't have to throw myself on the floor last night because I lost 5lb and got SOTW :j First one on my new book as well, which is exciting since we all know it's all about the shiny stickers :p Into the next number down too (just) so getting there, slowly. Going to try a couple of SE days again this week, and make sure I keep my SF up on all other days.

    EE today:
    B: Weetabix (B), milk (A), banana
    L: Mugshot, apple, ww yog
T: Pasta, roast veg, pesto (2), parmesan (1)
    S: Spiral (6)

Not a great lunch but had to grab something out of the cupboard. Making carrot and coriander soup tonight so will be having that for the next couple of days.

Have a good day all :)

Congratulations Blodwen - great loss and SOTW as well :j

What a shame to have to count syns for something as horrible as cough mixture - hope you get better soon and can use those syns on something much more pleasant

Well done to Beanie also and good luck to all with WI today.

Have a great holiday Nessie - I wish I could get away from this horrible weather too  a bit of sunshine always makes you feel better doesn't it!

    EE for me today:

    B: x2 Weetabix (HEB1), Semi-skimmed milk (HEA1), sliced banana, 1/2 grapefruit & bunch of grapes
L: Couscous with mackerel fillets in tomato sauce and loads of SF salad, ML 'greek style' Lemon FF yogurt (1/2 syn)
T: Salmon fillet with lime, chilli & coriander, mashed potato & veg
S & D: Banana, satsuma, small fruit juice (2 syns), tea with milk (HEA2), water, Options Hot Choc (2 syns)

    Happy Tuesday everyone :)

Hi all, Im still alive just taken a week or so out of SW threads as i felt it was becomming consuming. Apart from a major splurge almost a fortnight ago as had to eat out due to a meeting late in the evening on a saturday have stuck to plan so Easter saturday was a meal at the Hungry Horse - indian buffet with a choc fudge sundae for desserts. Have gotten back into the rut of STS so had the mid set to say sod it all and gained 0.5lb because of it. This week has been on plan all the way no over synning if anything staying around 7syns. Off to the weight loss group this afternoon and will be weighed so will get an inkling of how i have done on my way to thursdays SW WI.
Think i upset consultant too last week as i were still badgering after my free club 10 week, pc announced i should of had it in January and she was fobbing me off with 'couldn't have achieved it yet', 'letter should be on way from head office'. So bit the bullet and rang head office to see what was going on - club 10 had lapsed as i had not taken it?? so asked how this could be if i had not received letter and apparently as of september last year it is down to the consultant to send out the club 10's not head office and she reckons she hadnt had the memo  Anyway after an ear bashing from HO she rectified it last thursday and threw in a copy of this months mag free of which i have so far had 2 recipes from - Hoppin John (i think its called) and the meat ball pasta bake which was absolutely lovely. Trying the mac and cheese tonight i think.

Blodwen that was a great loss shame my scales seem to have lost those type of surprises.

    Welcome to all the newbies.

cupcake, you'll soon find out it's like the SF police on here!:)

Assuming you're doing EE, no way is that enough SFs for the day. What I'd do is have a mid morning snack (banana?) and then a pile of stir-fry veg with the salmon tonight.

:TBlodwen, that's an amazing loss. And Nessie, it's good to see you losing too despite the baby gains.

Hi stef, good to see you back. I sort of assumed you were busy with school holidays. Good luck for this afternoon.

Half term here was only a week with the academies new time table and son now will only have May day off before study leave. Can't believe his last exam is 24th June then he is free to do as he likes between then and college, unless an aprenticeship materialises.

Today is my first day back on plan, had a bad year health wise and my weight has been up and down because of it. Just come off some tablets which are well known to cause weight gain, so here goes.
Just had my weigh in and I have 2 st 11 1/4lbs to lose, which is a lot when your only 5 ft 1 in !
Bought the new mag and am going to have a good read through and so to the supermarket later today.

Thank you for the post. Your story is similar to mine. I have had bad health problems which finally seem to be improving for nearly three years and in particular for the last year. I am 5'3 and need to lose just over 2 stone. I can't afford to start classes this month, but I found this thread more helpful than the classes last time anyway :). I am just back from a holiday, so it seems a good time to start.

Just off the top of my head, wouldn't it vary with the type of wine, i.e. sweeter wine being more syns? No idea if this is the case, just seems logical!
SW don't seem to distinguish much between different wines. I've just looked them up and for 175ml all reds and dry whites are 6 syns; sparkling wines and medium whites are 6.5 and sweet white are 6.5 for 125ml - doesn't show 175 ml - I wouldn't be able to drink 125mls of sweet white yet alone 175ml:rotfl:

I generally drink red wine, although occasionally I'll have a dry white, both of which are 6 syns for 175ml.

You have an out of date book

I suggest you go to a class for at least one week to get the plan explained to you properly :)

Extra easy encourages 1/3 of your plate to be superfree with the other 2/3 to be either green day or red day foods
  • :( I see. Ok. I'll find another group then.
