Hi, newbie here, tried sw and lost two stone, now three back on.... Oops, don't really want to return to club, it's a little !!!!!y.
So can I join you? Pleeeeeeaaaasse.

Welcome to the thread, you will get lots of great advice on here, the thread is a little quieter just now, I think because of the easter holidays. I have never went to class either.

    Morning all,

Hi and welcome Bsicuitmad and Cupcake :)

Glad you're having a good holiday Banjo, enjoy the rest of it!

Applepad- I've looked but can't find the Aldi one in the database. If you have the NVs it can be worked out though.

Macpep- I think that could be made into either green or SE depending on the % of SFs you're having. What did you use to make the onion rings, I must have missed that. I have made them before using mashed potato powder and they came out really nicely.

Hope everything is ok at the docs TIE.

WI for me tonight and if I don't get a decent loss I'll throw myself on the floor and have a tantrum! :rotfl: Been 100% this week, including 4 days of SE, so should see something. Still v focused and want to get the rest of this weight off ASAP. Went to an outlet village yesterday for a mooch around and saw loads of lovely clothes; didn't buy anything but when I get to target I WILL be going back! OH went to McDs for lunch while we were there so I got him to get me a coffee and I had that with an Alpen light bar I took with me. Couple that with going out on Friday and driving so I didn't touch a drop, if I don't lose this week there is no justice in the world! Still have the cough and cold- cough is starting to annoy me now as woke me up a couple of times last night, and I'm not sure if it caused or just interrupted a really odd dream where my mum was making me commit bigamy! :rotfl:

    Anyway, EE today:
    B: Porridge (B), milk (A), banana
    L: L/O beef stew, apple
    T: TBC
    S: Ice cream after WI

Have a good day folks :)

Oohh can you post that for me? The one I used was on the SW recipe thread
    Onion Rings

    1 lb mild onions
    3 egg whites
60gms dry wholemeal bread crumbs (HEB)
    2 teaspoons dried thyme
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon paprika
    ¼ teaspoon pepper

Cut onions into ½-inch slices; separate into rings and place in a bowl. Cover with ice water; soak for 30 minutes. Drain.

In a small mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy. In another bowl, combine the bread crumbs, thyme, salt, paprika and pepper.
Divide the crumb mixture among three large re-sealable plastic bags. Dip a third of the onions in the egg whites; add a few rings at a time to crumb mixture and shake to coat. Place on a baking sheet coated with non-stick cooking spray. Repeat with remaining onions and crumb mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp.

Good luck for tonight, you just put me in mind of that advert where the woman throws herself onto the supermarket floor to teach her child a lesson:rotfl: I will declare a SE day then as plenty SF's

I'm off to join slimming world tonight! Can't wait to get started as I feel rubbish about myself at the minute. I tried it before but didn't follow it properly and gave up after a couple of weeks. This time I'm joining a group that I can walk to and I'm all in.

Just wondering - any time I have been on a diet in the past I have ended up spending a fortune buying food all the time.

Does anyone else do slimming world whilst on a DMP? How do you manage? I am single so cooking for one mostly. Also I have no freezer as it broke a few months ago and I have not yet been able to replace it.

    All tips greatly received.

Hi, of course you can join us. I'm in the same boat really. I reached target beginning of December 2008 but struggled to stay there. I have continued to go to group and changed target to 8st 11. Recently I lost my way and ended up at 9st 9.1/2. I have now set a target of 9st and have stuck to it 100% so far.

You will do it. You've done it before so you know the basics, but there have been a few changes, depending on when you did it. Ask any questions you like, there will always be someone with the answers and loads of support.

    xx

First of all welcome, you will get loads of advice on here, I don't go to class, refuse to pay for what I get on here for nothing. Everyone is very helpful. If you are on a DMP perhaps you could sign up for 12 weeks & then stop to save some money?? Not having a freezer is a bit of a bummer, as I keep a load of frozen veg, handy which works out cheaper. It would also help if you bulk-cooked meals & were able to freeze. Do you have a local freecycle you can perhaps look on for a freezer??

Best thing if you have to cook fresh most days is to go into the supermarket & look for reduced items. It doesnt have to be expensive but having a freezer will definately help you, also I get my fruit & veg from Aldi, make a pot of soup & keep in fridge for lunches?
Is it extra easy? I ve forgotten so much and can't find my book.

You need to have 1/3 superfree with every meal then, I personally tend to have 1/3 of my day superfree but each to their own.

I assume your toast was your Health Extra B? (HEB) & you also need to fit in your Healthy Extra A (HEA)
