Does any one here eat the skin on sweet potato. I quite like it when i roast them. (must give me extra fibre) :D

Skin on sweet potato is lovely, good source of fibre too. I sometimes do then just like a jacket potato.

Weigh in this morning. 2.5lb loss.......hooray!! My first 1/2 stone award with a total loss of 8lb in 4 weeks. Throwing away my jeans today (they were wearing very thin) and am wearing a pair I haven't worn for quite some time. Off to buy another pair from a charity shop, won't buy new as I aim to be another size down within a couple of months!
Well done to all you other losers! Not often you can say that as a compliment!! And to those that have STS or put on, keep going, don't give up.

Want to bake a maltloaf, but recipes say to use sugar.

What are alternatives? Saw Truvia in Supermarket, but it is very expensive.

Artificial sweetner doesn't seem to do the job as its very different texture etc

Could I lose weight eating just potato, baked beans and 'fried' (frylite) eggs. I've lost my job and this is pretty much all i can afford.

Sorry to hear about the job jill, hope you get something really soon. What you're suggesting would fit in fine with a Green menu but I'm sure there's lots more you could have that's cheap. Definitely get some value porage oats for your breakfast and a bit of cheap fruit. Eggs are good, done in all sorts of ways including hard boiled and omelettes. If you buy the offers in Aldi then SFs don't need to be too expensive and mushy peas are cheaper than baked beans. You could try a vegetable chilli and pour it over a JP. What about making some HM soup? Just a few ideas but I'm sure there's loads more people could suggest.

Just having a quick catch up after being awol over the weekend. Sorry if I've missed anything.

I've had a totally flexi break but I do find myself making reasonably sensible choices most of the time. I don't seem to enjoy fatty stuff as much as I used to.

My jeans tell me I'm still within target but I'll be making a SW meal plan just to get back on track. One thing I'm fancying is some of dizzy's oxburgers. I really enjoy those.

    Morning,

Well done Nightowl and Travellinglight :)

It's quiet on here at the moment, where are all the prolific posters?!

Still feeling rubbish :( Had a better night's sleep but don't really feel any better, keep alternating between being boiling and freezing. Just had a Lemsip though and have a quiet day planned so will just veg out at my desk. Only upside is I don't have much of an appetite so doing SE hasn't been any problem :p

    SE again today:
    B: Tinned fruit (B), FF yogurt, 1 weetabix (1/2 B), syrup (2), milk (A)
L: Tomato and roasted red pepper soup, 1 slice bread (1/2 B), chicken, pineapple
T: Beef and pepper stir fry, noodles, (2 for cornflour)
    S: Possibly a WW yogurt, maybe a biscuit (5)

Have a good day all :)

    Can I come back?

I haven't been around for ages and have been off plan although still going to group to help with weighing in. I just haven't been able to get my head in gear but I rejoined last night at 9st 9.1/2 which is way over my 8st 5 target that I reached in December 08. Some of you will remember that I really struggled to keep within target so it's taken this long and this massive gain to make me bite the bullet and sort myself out!

I have set a new target of 9st which is the top end of the healthy range so I'm hoping that I can keep focused and get on with it.

I am also giving EE a try which, if you remember I have always avoided like the plague. I can't really get my head around it but I think the change might help. I will be picking the brains of the EE followers I'm sure.

It's good to 'see' DIZZY back, we can do it DIzzy!

Well done to all the losers and hugs for the strugglers and the ones not feeling well

Sorry for the short story ! X
