Applepad - I'm not veggie but tend to have about 3 or 4 green days a week. I find it's easy to overeat things like rice and pasta so I have to make sure I weigh my portion out and try to have 1/3 superfree as much as poss although it isn't a stipulation on green and red. Today isn't a great example as my tea doesn't contain any SF but my lunch is pretty much all veg so think that evens it out.

Try not to be disheratened by losing 1/2lb - a lot of people lose more in their second week and then settle into steady losses. Keep up the good work :)

  • Wood.Justin Welcome. :wave:Yes feel free to ask away. The answers aren't always the ones we are hoping for though. Use the SW website too for inspiration and ideas.

Thanks Shellie, I will be having a look around for ideas and have found the lovely link to all of the recipie ideas too! It's great that there is a subculture of SW members here!

Justin - if you're not sure about joining a class maybe try doing it without for a few weeks and see how you get on? There's always the option to join later if you struggle.

We are certainly plowing ahead without classes for now, we'll give it a month or so to see how we get on and if no significant improvements then we'll consider it.

Thank you all for your replies! I'll be keeping in touch with you all no doubt. :j

ells - im exactly the same unfortunately. I fell off my wagon quite a few times which put me into the cruddiest of forms, to the result ive put on around half a stone overall.

however, ive given myself to mid april to get back to what i was, if not actually hit my target this time :D... determined im going to do it, but im not going to lie, i have a feeling it will be alot harder than the first time round:(

anywho, so im aiming for an EE day. so this is my plan...

B: - nada, maybe a cup of tea and a banana later, but traffic was woeful, so didnt have time before i started my shift.

L: salad: mini beetroot, mixed leaves, sweetcorn, tomatoes, mange tout and cucumber.ED: forgot the peppers too haha... 1tbsp extra light french dressing (how many cals has it to be under for it to be free? 1syn/syn free dependant on this), mandarin orange.

    D: TBC

    snacks: carrot sticks, apple.

Thats my plan so far for today haha... we'll see how the rest of the week pans out as its * week unfortunately, and i have a tendancy to balloon and then make funny noises and have eating patterns all over the show. actually, anyone sitting near me right at this minute would think im starving going by the gurgling its making haha:rotfl::o:rotfl:
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
  • Hi everyone!

I'd like to join Slimming World Online but missed yesterday's Mirror which had an offer of £35 discount on membership. Would it be possible for someone to share this code with me? I can't work out if it is going to be printed again today/tomorrow from Slimming World's or the Daily Mirror's web site.

Hope to get to know you betterover the coming weeks!

WI last night - at 7pm instead of 12pm (2 weeks at xmas was sundays) and pleased to report a small gain of 1/2lb - not bad considering the whole group (30 members) put on 5st (70lbs) and only lost 4.5lbs!!! - there wasn't even a slimmer of the week this week!!!

So over the xmas period i think i only had a small gain of 1lb!

Still trying to get into the swing of things!

  • SugaJen, could you send it to me as well?? I've been a member before and just want to know what changes they have made to the hex's so I can get back on track with the new books.

I'm going a-ok today actually.. Bit of a rush this morning to get out of the house but managed to grab something to take along as lunch to work.. The joys of being unorganised!

Which reminds me to get more fruit and veggies in the house today!

Applepad Excuse me for being dim but if you are veggie why do you have tuna on your meal plan? With the plan you have placed on here are you following EE or Green?

My meals for today are EE,
B, Sausage and mushroom sandwich, apple. (1syn)
L, spiced butternut squash soup, apple.
T, beef casserole filled with loads of SF.
May have a club for syns today (5.5)
    Hea, milk in coffee.

Good luck for anyone weighing in today.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I reached target weight six months ago and intended to still go to group every month or so to keep in target range.
However i did'nt manage to do that and now reckon i'm about 4 or 5 lbs over target.
Does anyone know if i would i have to join again or just go back as a target member, i wonder if theres is a time limit of six months or so to be able to do that
    Thank you

It was a voucher in the Mirror and their intro to Slimming World that prompted me to join in January. They had a series of booklets over a few days with recipe ideas etc.

hi is the voucher finished?? could it be shared?? thanks
