Going to have a go at a healthy version of garlic mayo later (fat free natural yogurt and crushed fresh garlic). May leave it overnight to infuse
When I watched the Hairy Bikers the other day they made a drink using Belvoir (I think they're called) concentrates. Anyone know if they do a sugar free version of these? They're flavours like Elderflower.
I know last year our consultant made up a version of Pimms that was syn free. And it included of all things balsamic vinegar to add that twang.
I like the idea of some unusual drinks. I notice a syn free beer (alcohol free) is advertised in the magazine. I may see if there's any sugar free shandy out there somewhere.

It's like rhubarb. Syn free unless you cook it.
 too confusing ! do you think its best to syn pre cooked/cooked then ? they should (to be honest) have just given a syn value for them cooked !0 -

Because the like to keep us on our toes. I'd use the cooked value, just measure 100g before hand. The weight isn't likely to change much. I think thats what they mean.Tonight I'm making beef and mushroom cannelloni, it's in the SW booklet in yesterdays Daily Mirror, hoping it's nice as there's loads of it!
Hope you enjoyed it. I and others here have all said how their recipes tend to feed a small army.I am having an EE day today

Hello!
I'm new to posting but have been reading all your posts for a while. I desperately need to lose at least 2 stone. I'm at the heaviest I have ever been and really want to sort it out. I've got a wardrobe full of clothes but can only wear the same few outfits!
Anyway, my day
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, baked beans, 2 clementines
Lunch: LM Vegemince, onion, tomato, chickpea curry and white rice (micro rice, so syns but not sure how many yet?)
Dinner: Cod, peas, some kind of potato
Snacks: raisins (2 syns),
HEA: skimmed milk in tea/egg
HEB:Not sure?
Does this look ok? Thanks for any advice!0 -
Hi all
EE for me today, not feeling overly hungry atm but I'm sure I will pick up shortly. For the first time in a while I made a packed lunch for me as well as bf yesterday - especially good as it's a training day today
B: 2 poached eggs, apple. tea with milk from HeA
L: ham sandwich - wholemeal roll (HeB), ham (free) and mayo (1syn) - 2 satsumas, easi-yo yogurt (3syn)
T: Spag bol (5.5syns)
Before bed: hot choc (milk from HeA, 2syn)
Going to try and pop to the shop and grab some extra free snacks before I get the bus to meet bf (cottage cheese, veggies/fruit) I think as training is a looong time (4 hours) sat around doing my publicity work and changing the occasional innertube etc so I like to have snacks around
Back to the gym from tomorrow, need to get some cauliflower and sweetcorn in to make soup again for the freezer as I only have 1tub left!
Still hoping to get a job soon as then I will be busy and not thinking so much about food************************************

So as meal plans would go i think i would just go along with them as they would be pretty much current as the website updates things all the times, the books would only be once a year.
As of 07.01.12 SW online Batchelors Pasta & Sauce syn values are (on green/EE)
All High Veg are syn free
Cheese, leek & ham = 1syn
Macaroni cheese = 1.5syns
The rest are syn free
* This is based on just using water - if made up using milk and butter then the syns would have to be adjusted accordingly
These are on offer in Morrisons for 50p per pack (or they were last week!)
You had me worried for a while! :rotfl:0
