    Hi Steffens

I had half of a 170g tub which I bought from A farm shop. From the look and taste of it (delicious) I'd say it was made the good old fashioned way. So the ingredients are probably butter, sugar and brandy. I,should be able to hazard a guess at it from that I suppose!
In that case i would be saying it was a nice treat not to be repeated in a hurry. If you bare in mind 25g of standard butter is 9syns then i would say whoops and move on.

Having an EE day here and i am also filling in food diary to take to group to make me stick to plan better as i want that 1.5lb off this week for my 2 stone.

B, bacon, eggs, beans. 1/4 melon, 1/4 pineapple.
L, hm soup - which ever one is left either leek and potato or red pepper and cannelini bean.
    T. roast chicken, pots and veg.
    HEA, milk.
HEb not sure yet, will see how day goes.

Yesterday to use up 3 syns i asked my son to make the rice pudding from the latest magazine, only hubby left it in too long and it over cooked so had to rescue it using some of my daily allowance milk.

Don't worry, I wasn't labouring under any false impressions! Just thought I would try to work it out in retrospect- might put me off in the future!

It was certainly a very enjoyable oops!

With the slimming world chips (this sounds really lazy..) but do you peel them? It's just I remember our consultant talking about if you have a jacket potato for lunch it's important to eat the skin too.

Something that Gordon Ramsay did on one of his cookalongs years ago was chilli chips. So basically the same as SW chips but you add some dried chilli flakes. That really helps improve the taste.

If I wanted to make a SW/EE friendly dip could I use a FF yogurt (like Onken) and add some crushed garlic? I love dippy things like that.

If you leave the skin on then they would still be ok to have more like wedges than chips unless you like the McCain rustic style ones.
A few of the members of my group say they sprinkle the chips with OXO cubes they have been using up some of the limited edition curry ones. My consultant says she uses the Nandos peri peri shakes on hers. So it is all a matter of personal taste.

You can make any number of SW dips using free foods. Theres no reason you cant enjoy something made differently to fit in with SW. As is said over and over, this isnt a diet it is a lifestyle change and you shouldnt be deprived off anything you enjoyed previously.

I made SW chips last nght by slicing up jacket potatos (including skin) zapping in microwave for 4 minutes to rough up the edges and then putting in oven with fry light and salt. They were delish. My DH and DS and DD also had them alongside normal oven chips so I could see which they preferred and the unanimous vote was SW chips so that is the way to go - much cheaper than a bag of oven chips too and my DS actually ate the skin as well (if we have jackets he never eats the skin). I am checking everything that passes my lips as some things which were syn free (like quorn sausages for example) now have a syn value so I need to re-educate myself the EE way.

I also made a huge saucepan of carrot, coriander and red lentil soup which is free, and had cups of it throughout the day as a filling free food to keep me away from the crisp drawer (yes we have a crisp drawer in our house - that is terrible!)

Have a chicken roasting in the oven for mid afternoon as we had a late breakfast (I had tinned spaghetti (free) on wholemeal toast (HEB) My HEA will usually be milk as I drink a lot of tea, but I have changed from SS milk to skimmed so it all helps (I hope). 6 stone in 8 months - that is great - did you do it just by SW or are you an excercise professional too now?

Its great our motivations are so high - we just need to keep it up ! xx

Forgot to add that it is great that stock cubes are free now as they form an integral part of my soups. Making butternut squash and red lentil soup today as nearly out of my carrot, coriander and red lentil soup I made yesterday.

Also I cannot stop peeing - several times an hour -I hope this is a good sign!
