Ok so feeling low tonight - not sure why have just been feeling slightly off all day - and the boredom plus missing bf (just want a snuggle!) has lead to me snacking :(

Considering this my smack on the wrist and now determined to behave. he should be landing right about now so should be home in 90mins or so, depending on how busy the airport is!

Went to weigh in and it was surprisingly quiet tonight just 30 through the doors as i were on the paying side tonight as the usual lady is on hols.

I had a STS which was ok as still not feeling clever and only managed to drink 2 pints of squash and eat 2 boiled eggs today plus meal out last weekend. Son got his sash and certificate for being the greatest loser with this weeks 2lb loss bringing it to 3stone 13lb:T Off to bed now as can barely keep eyes open.

So pleased you managed to get to group tonight stef. You must be so proud of your boy. Hope you're feeling a bit brighter tomorrow.

I haven't a problem with the people from SW commenting on my weightloss as they never knew me until I was fat and they admire me for getting to target. What has hurt me is some of my oldest friends and family. They've congratulated me but it's as if they've forgotten that I always was this size before! So they knew me for years and years as a slim person, were too tactful to comment during the years (about 10) when I gradually gained about 3 st but now they behave as if I've always been fat! maybe it's illogical but that's how I've felt. What really matters is I've done it for me and I'm delighted!:D

    Well done losers!:T

    Morning,

Well done Mich and Pennylane on your losses :)

    Hi Eric,

It's funny because I've actually said several times "oh I don't like to talk about it, I'm embarrassed about it, oh it's private" but she still doesn't stop it. Out of the blue she just comes up to me and says "oh you've done so well" and I keep thinking "Oh go away!!"

Once, when I was in the middle of a few days bingeing, I bought a snickers bar from the Tuck Shop, and she saw me eating it in the staff room and said loudly in all sincerity "oh good girl well done, it's really good to see you eating a treat when you've been so good for so long well done" and I just wanted to say "mind your own business!!"

My dissordered eating is private, but you'd be shocked how many people think it's public property :o

It's funny that (most) people seem to be more tactful when you're overweight but when you're thin you're fair game. When I was fat no-one ever said 'oh look how fat you are' but when I lost loads and was really skinny plenty of people felt it was quite alright to say 'ooh, you're so thin, you've lost too much'. I suppose they think when you're no longer fat you're not sensitive about your weight but actually I had a much harder time and a much more screwed up relationship with food when I was very skinny than when I was fat, and the comments, although meant with concern, were really quite painful to hear (not to mention that it's stating the obvious- did they think I didn't know how thin I was?!). I hope this woman gets the message and stops commenting though. Is there anyone at work that you can confide in (preferably someone with a forthright manner!) who can have a word with her, might be better coming from a third party. She obviously thinks she's being nice but I think straight talking is what's needed here, and I suspect it would be difficult for you as you won't want to hurt her feelings and also it's quite an emotional subject.

Anyway, heaps of snow here and got a meeting later so am hoping it's in my office and not my bosses so I don't have to trudge to another building! Going for lunch with my best friend so will have to see where we go and decide what to have.

    EE today:
    B: Porridge (B), banana, milk (A), syrup (2)
L: JP and beans or soup, satsuma
T: Spaghetti and meatballs with tomato and veg sauce, parmesan (1)
S: Freddo (5) and depending whether I use any syns at lunchtime, maybe a mini bag of Jelly Tots (5)

Have a good day all :)

Morning all. Feeling sooo much better today thank you all for the well wishes.

On the subject of how others react to weight loss i were quite astounded at christmas. Having seen an uncle for the first time since my wedding in 2009 was telling him how we were following SW and how much weight we had lost at the time, his reply almost knocked me off my chair when he said ' dont look at me for congratulations you got yourself into that state'
So moving away from that my dad has now started taking an interest in how much we do or dont lose each week and actually said to me last week not to lose too much more as there would be nothing left of me yet i still have probably around 2-2.5st to lose to be of a good size and weight.

    Todays meals are
B, porridge made with water, banana
L, cheese and tomatoes on toast. Nat yog and frozen fruit.
T, Hm burgers, chips and salad

Following yesterdays illness i have no stomach for hot drinks which is really odd. When my migraines got bad i did switch from tea to decaff coffee as during a bad migraine i were heaving from the smell of tea, today thats how i feel just thinking about a coffee so my fluids will be sugar free squash. Syns to be decided.

well done to your son stef.. there's a lovely family in my group, mum and 3 sons.. the younger lads (twins) are only 16 and one is at target after losing over 3 stone and the other near also.. so supportive of each other

    todays plan is..
B: toast and low low cheese (A+B) banana
L: have some curried parsnip soup to finish off
T: the thai bites and veggie rice hopefully.. need to get some fish oil / sauce as my delivery from Chinese supermarket arrived with one casualty... the fish sauce! :o yog + fruit

probably a hifi bar for supper.. why have I only just discovered the berry bakewell ones?.. yum!

how cold is it... sick of this weather!

Not sure how to quote from others but the comment from your uncle is shocking Steph! I must say my own father said a similar thing.:(

I do have a lovely friend at work who I told about the other one's continued fasination with my weight and she offered to have a word with her. I'm a bit worried that she'll get all offended and say she was only being supportive though. Funny how I'm concerned about her feelings, when she is oblivious to mine! ;)

I've been really thin, and really fat, and now I'm in the middle, but even though, on the odd occation that we do talk about it at work, I make it quite clear that I've had eating dissorders and I don't like to talk about it, there are still several people who do want to talk about it.

I think there are two sorts of people who lose weight ~

Normal people who got a little bit chubby when they weren't really looking and then calmly thought they better lose a little bit with no big problem about it and they aren't ashamed to tell anyone about it.

And then there's those with eating dissorders who are mortified at how disgusting they are and don't want it drawing attention to! I'm the second one by the way.

I think that's why even though I think SW is a brilliant plan and it's helped me lose 7 st, I hated being part of the group because I didn't want to be in their fat club? I think I'm fattist!

It's also funny how I can read all your stats and feel genuinly pleased and proud of you all and feel you deserve huge praise, but just feel contempt for myself? I guess it takes all sorts :D
