Hi Bloddy and maccy  thanks for your replies

Do you think I should weigh at all next week then? Did vow in February never to weigh myself ever again. I feel ok so does it matter what the scales say? Should I know the truth?

'They' say I should be 10 st as I'm 5ft 5 1/2 inch but I know I'm nowhere near that. Does it matter? I'm a size 12 and although curvy (very big bum and hips) I don't think I stand out in a crowd any more.

What's more important ~ feeling an ok weight and possibly being dillusional, or actually being an ok weight?

Would love to hear your opinions as I'm sure many are in the same boat :)

For what it's worth, I'm the same height as you and the last time I was ten stone was nearly 15 years ago.....I was much younger, hadn't had three kids (all big babies!!) and had time to exercise hard a few times a week! When I look back, I was really thin/trim, but if you'd asked me then I would have said I was fat! Now, I know that what I actually weigh isn't important - it's about being a size you are happy with. So, for me, I hope to get back to about eleven stone which will mean I'm a good size 12 and a weight which is sustainable with a good diet, not dependable on hours of exercise which I just don't have the time for anymore!

When we got weighed in secondary school they weighed me twice as I'm heavier than I look - and funnily enough two of my kids are the same! Nothing to them but try and pick them up and you know it!!

Most important thing I think is feeling happy with your weight/how you look rather than a number on the scales.
    Just my opinion.

Made up a SW meal tonight. Chicken & Sweetcorn Pasta bake.
All free except for the tiny bit of grated cheese on top. I used salt & pepper, some tarragon and a lightly fried large onion as well. I made the sauce from Quark and some very low fat fromage frais. (synned that).

    WI tomorrow.

That's the trouble Maccy, I too am a nosey parker and really want to know. In my head, because I feel really good at the mo, I'm 10 st. However, reality is such that I am nowhere near 10 st, so I shall be sorely dissappointed.

Ignorant bliss is quite a nice place to be, so I may stay here a little longer :D

I'm a bit like that.:rotfl: I could still do with losing a couple of stones but I feel so much better just losing (1st 9.5 lbs). I actually think I'm slim(ish) but I truly am not. I am buying Medium leggings, nighties, dressing gown etc whereas before I chose Large.

I actually don't feel like a fat person until I go to my yoga group and most of them don't have an inch of spare flesh on them. Working in a studio with BIG mirrors facing you brings me crashing back to reality though.;)

Frogga - Not sure whether when you were attending a group it was ever mentioned about SW evolving into a class where you dont weigh you measure inches. It is to come about because of the amount of people who really dont see the scales moving but clothing wise there's a big difference. My consultant was talking about it last week because she has one member in her saturday group who has lost less than a stone in the time she has been attending group but inch wise has gone from a size 16 to a size 10. It may have more to do with where the 'fat' deposits and whether it is in an area that is more easily shifted than others.

Had 'time out' day at work today, lunch was provided from Marks and Spencer. Took my own anyway and ate that and indulged in the fresh fruit salad packs! One of our student nurses however was leaving a brought in cupcakes she'd had made. She told me she was yesterday and said 'you will have one won't you?'. I cut one in half and gave the other half to a pregnant colleage for the baby, lol. I've estimated it to be about 5 syns, havn't had any others today. Still havn't had tea actually, got a salmon steak baking in the oven with a laughing cow cheese on top and parsnip chips in the oven. Made SW pate yesterday, very nice!

Weigh in this evening, 2lb loss, which is 5lb in two weeks. ;)
