Thanks to the poster for the lemon curd recipe, I'm sorry, I've forgotten who it was!!! I love orange curd which I have on my wm seeded sensations for brekkie, so a syn free option is worth a try!
Orange curd won't be free - it will be synned as oranges once juiced are syns!
Lemon curd is only free as juiced lemons are not counted as syns - probably because a 'normal' person would not be able to drink more than the juice of one lemon???0 -
I am going to have a bash at the lemon curd this weekend if I can find fromage frais in Tesco, never been able to get it, I look in the cottage cheese aisle, is that correct?
So this weekend I will be painting & making lemon curd:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Soooo proud of him and his achievements. Made even better when the school rang to say his attitude and motivation have also improved in school - not allowed to say it is directly associtated with his weight loss but it was hinted at. Just hope we dont blow it this weekend once we get car back from garage when we take him for a meal for his birthday.
That's such a lovely post stef. I'm really delighted for you both, what an acheivement!!:) I can quite understand how your boy's motivation has changed, he must feel so much better about himself. I wouldn't worry about the birthday meal. SW does allow for a 'blow out', they call it going flexi. I don't need to tell you that it's being aware that you are choosing synful treats and getting straight back on the wagon next day that counts!!I am going to have a bash at the lemon curd this weekend if I can find fromage frais in Tesco, never been able to get it, I look in the cottage cheese aisle, is that correct?

I don't shop in Tesco but it might be with yogurt or cream.0 -

Hi folks
Real sorry Ive been AWOL for so long ..... things have not been so good in the land of the Dizzy one.
My Mum Died last April - the Breast cancer spread, then 2 months later my MIL suffered the same fate from Bowel Cancer.....so its been a really horrible time all round & Ive struggled getting my head around a lot of things that have happened as a consequence of (mainly) my mum passing.
So here I am - a house move, breakdown, and 3 stone weight gain laterplus a few incidental other sodding health issues chucked at me just for fun
really do need to get my bum back on the wagon now but don't feel ready to walk (wobble/hobble) back to a class so hoping that those of you who remember me might take me under your wing again :A0 -

Help!
I love the Fajita kits, but am a bit frustrated by the tortilla's and the syn values.
I've looked online at the syns and its saying 'Soft Flour Tortillas, 8 pack, 41g each' - 7 syns. I presume that is per tortilla ?(that may sound like a stupid question!!!)
Anyway, is there anyway I can work these into a HEB choice or is it just not an option???
We usually have these with the uncle bens mexican rice on a green day (chicken as HEB) to bulk out the fajitas and fill us up, but with the tortillas at such a high syn value it's 17.5 syns for two fajitas.
Any ideas?0 -

Wraps are high in syns unfortunately - there is no way of using them as a healthy extra either - sorry
My bit of advice would be to have your 2 wraps & try to limit your syns accordingly for the rest of the week - or treat it as one meal off & back on it again tomorrow.
You could try having just one wrap and using lettuce leaves instead? or what about making a thin ommelette & using that instead?
Or use tacos? Think they are lower in syns!0 -
I might try the tacos - can't see myself using omlettes - just wouldn't be the same!!!
Thanks for the help :beer:0
