    Oh dear, moan alert.

I am in DREAD mode. My wife very rarely cooks - about 4 or 5 times per year. But she has taken it upon herself to cook her speciality tonight for dinner. This is the first time she has cooked this year, so I suppose it was due.

The problem is the amount of olive oil she uses. I said to her in a subtle way, that there was a SW recipe which uses frylight instead of olive oil. But she is frying potatoes and onions in the usual half bottle of oil :(

I'm trapped, I'll just have to have a tiny portion. And that is going to get me the mega sulk anyway in a mega way :(

    B. muller light vanilla yogurt with 30g muesli Hex B.
    Snack. Banana.
    L. Turkey, broccoli and carrots.
    D. Help!

    SS milk in coffees.

Have you used your syns every day? Do you know how many you have used? This is salvagable without you going hungry or starting world war 3 in the Banjo household :)

Hi Stef, I have fully used my syns last Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

I'm not exaggerating about the amount of olive oil. There will probably be a weeks worth of syns in the oil in my portion :(

Once she made a pasta salad (about a year ago) and I had to drain off the olive oil she had put in - there was about half a mug full!

Smaller portion then with extra veggies?
Dont let it get you too down, she has made an effort at least even in the grand scheme of things its not SW.
In future is there anyway you can offer to share the cooking of one meal so she can see the new way that you do things so it makes it a more enjoyable experience all round or will that be like telling her to go suck eggs and getting the same response?

    Hi Stef,
I'm afraid when it comes to her handful of recipes she uses, there is no compromise. They have to be authentic. As in the avocado war :(
I feel so down, I'm thinking of making myself sick afterwards.

    Sorry for the moan.

Dont make yourself ill over it - she may think she has found a way to bump you off :rotfl:
Just enjoy what you can off it tonight knowing tomorrow is a new day and you can get back on plan with not intrusions.
