100% day planned today with homemade pizza for tea! Rather excited for that one, haha!

Had a couple of reasonably good days and back to the gym from Tuesday so ready to work hard till the end!

Might even have a job or two coming up! Got an interview a week on Wednesday and then another possible couple of interviews so fingers crossed I could be back to my old happier self once in decent employment :)

Hope everyone is getting on ok, will pop back when i get back from town to catch up on the thread :)

Stef - when you make soups do you blend them? I have vague memories or reading somewhere that blending them affected the syn value (or am I going mad?). I would really like to get into making home-made soups and was going to invest in a blender but didn't want too if this was the case?

I haven't heard this but I know if you stew fruit then I think you have to syn it. Likewise if you juice fruit to make a smoothie.

Had my Weetabix this morning but I am out for lunch today and then on to a show with family so could be a test of my will-power. I am planning to pick something SW friendly from the menu and I am even thinking of taking some fruit with me in case I am tempted...I am not drinking for January so that should be OK...

    OK so today:

    b: toasted wholemeal roll (HeB)
l: jacket potato with beans and free ham
t: HM pizza (12syns) - cheese (HeA), free toppings of chicken and lean bacon!

Drinking copious amounts of squash to try and nip this possible cold that seems to be developing in the bud.
Have done an hours walk at a moderate rate today :)

Got my gold body magic award in group last week so just need to get platinum to complete the set although not sure I will manage that one!

Got some freelance-y bits to do so that will see a small amount of extra money coming in which will help as my next pay packet will be a bit pathetic due to it having been Christmas so there's been 2 weeks with no work!

    Hello fellow slimmers!

Had my first weigh in today - gulp- 18st 9lb. Cant believe I weigh that much and am gutted with myself. However I am now looking forwards, not back. I will pop in and out to see how everyone is doing, off now to read my new books. Feeling highly motivated but I know it won't last so I have made back-up plans of buying a 12 week coountdown (I am far too miserly to pay for something I won't use hence not having gym membership!), showing my DH my actual weight (the shame) and taking my M-In-L with me every week as she wants to lose a stone. My consultant has lost 6 stone since last January so that is a big visual incentive for me. Does anyone know if Bavaria lager shandy is syn free? I cant see it in the syn directory I bought today. I am laying off the alcohol to aid my slimming journey and for a change to tea/coffee instead of wine in the evenings am drinking shandy and lime & Sodas. I hope lime is free - must go and check.....

Having a play around on google it wont be syn free as its not a diet/sugar free version. You would have to take the nutritional values from the packaging and type them into syns online. The only info i can find online is 27 cals but cant see if thats per can or per 100ml.
You lime if it is coming from the cordial would also be synned at 3syns per 50ml as it comes from the bottle. Lager would also be synned unless you can get hold of one called Equator which is alcohol and calorie free meaning no syns and is seen in the SW magazines. Soda is free.
