I'm trying to come up with free or low syn dinner ideas for the times when I really can't be bothered to cook or prepare dinner. Something that I can maybe take out of a pack and heat up rather than ordering a takeway.

    Does anyone have any ideas?
  • Ok change of plan - we are now on an EE day and meals planned are as follows...

    B - 2 weetabix (B), Milk (A), banana
    S - Strawberries
L - Chicken, mushroom and onion omlette with side salad, apple and muller
D - H/M spag bol (tinned tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, peppers), pasta spirals

Not sure on syns yet but I'm SURE I'll find something ;)

Well I know everyone here will yell at me but I rarely have breakfast and if I do manage it I only end up having Alpen bars as I just can't face anything more so my diary will look like this today:

    B: none
L:tuna pasta salad with pepper, onion and sweetcorn
T:rice and chicken (there will be some syns here but I'm not sure what as my OH is making it and won't tell me exactly what's in it until he's cooking it - he's very good though and knows what he can and can't add) there will also be some form of veg with it but again not known as yet!

S:unknown as yet, probably HexB (Alpen bars) HexA (mini babybel) and then syn the rest

Its hard for me to plan today as I don't know exactly what the OH is planning, but he is a former chef so I know it will be amazing!

I can't think of anything hugely original fannyanna but what I do is make up some HM ready meals for the freezer when I do have the time so they're there for when I CBA. I have bolognese, curry, chilli as staples but you could make cottage pie type things as well. If you want to buy things ready made then I'd suggest some of the chicken breast in sauce meals many of which are low syn and you could have some frozen veg or a few oven chips with them.

Glad the 'talk' went well sukey. I know you said you had put a few pounds on but if you keep following SW as you were before you could end up under target (I speak from expensive exerience;)). Obviously, if you have loads of syns at the weekend you won't!:rotfl:

Without digging my snacks book out and going through it as i am short on time. Morrisons have a pouch of vegetable chilli which if free on EE. Cant be any quicker than bunging in microwave. Will have a look through in a while when i get back from another mad dash.

Have just had my SE lunch -
2nimble to make a cheese and ham sandwich with a full plated salad and pickles.

Banjo:naughty:step is reserved for you!! Please dont think that because WI day is approaching you need to drop the amount of food you eat because your body will store water making you heavier and the loss not as great. Did you feel better for eating a fuller menu yesterday?

Thanks Stef, it always puzzled me why I was lighter on my own scales on Wednesday, than I was on the same scales on Thursday - despite eating so little for next days WI.

It's hard to say how I feel today, for behind the light hearted facade, I'm very sad today. It is the funeral of the lovely priest who was with our parish such a short time. He took my Mam's funeral despite being very poorly himself late 2011. It must of been one of his last duties he performed before succumbing. He was only 51 :(

That's why I baked a cake today. To feel closer to my Mam, who taught me how to cook/bake.

i wont yell at you because its each to their own but you really should have three meals a day minimum even if you were to have a break time snack ...
the other thing about having a reasonable breakfast it means your less hungry during the day thus you don't get cravings for snacky foods such as crsips etc

    sorry for your loss

you really do need to eat the same regurlarly though because starving yourself does not help you lose weight and not eating before wi etc doesnt work ...

lots of people try it , from what i have seen or heard but it rarely makes a difference
