Im glad to hear too that as a food tech teacher you are getting the kids on board with SW. My son is doing food for g.c.s.e. and has chosen the healthy eating option so is using up sw recipes to use for his presentations.
They all know i'm on SW now lol!!! I did a unit with all year groups on designing a meal for anyone with a specific dietary requirement whether it be medical or a personal choice (like being on a diet) or a religious reason. They really got on board with it and created fantastic things which is really nice, especially as when I took over the role 18 months ago parents wouldn't send them with ingredients as they thought it was a waste of time making shortbread or fruit salad all the time.Slimming world newbie joined 09/01/13 :j Total loss so far 3 stone 8 lbs. Gone never to be seen again0 -

I'm sure that Stef, Maman, Banjo, Blowden or someone else will be along soon (with an official welcome as I'm fairly new myself) but in the meantime take a seat, grab a diet coke and an apple and have a warm by the fire!0 -

Hi Everyone
Can I join in
I rejoined Slimming World last night, (for the umpteenth time ). I'm hoping with all the friendly people here I will stick at it this time.
One change I am going to make is to not jump on my home scales.
Today's meals were
2 poached eggs on 2 w/m nimble (brunch)
Four bean chilli + loads of rice (made from scratch)
2 finger kitkat
Not much I know but at least I haven't eaten the biscuit tin tonight0 -
I have a bag of couscous in the cupboard.
I have no idea what to do with it-I've never eaten it before.
Inspiration needed from you guys please.
Foods to not include: Shellfish, peppers, aubergines.
Thanks
ETA Can you eat it cold?0 -
