    Hi Blodwen

    How are you doing? :D

Can't complain thanks - probably been unwittingly eating horsemeat but I will eat pretty much anything so not overly fussed :rotfl:

I see some of you have been chatting about roasties.
Here is the recipe I use. I can't remember where I got it, but they do come out lovely.
Put your tatties in your roasting pan, raw. 250mls chicken stock-pour around the tatties.
Spray the exposed tops with Frylite.
Bung in oven and cook for around 45 mins ish.
    They are quite yummy.

Been for 2nd lot of blood tests. I now have matching holes in each arm. (And probably not much blood left). Having to have a Lucozade as feeling a bit light-headed and queasy _pale_

Recipe sounds lovely, would never have though of using stock, thanks. Hope you feel better later on :)

    Sharalee, those roasties sounds interesting.

Hope you feel better soon :) - how long before you get your results?

Maybe Friday? Because of where I live (Shetland) some of the bloods have to go to Aberdeen, so that bit may take longer.
Then am just waiting for the Ultrasound appt.
    Thanks all for asking :)

Looks like you will have to find another way of bribing him into store then or wait to purchase something when they are back in store, approx 2 weeks from what i have read. But at least Ikea have been responsible and removed all meat products unlike other companies who have allowed their items to be revealed one by one.

    Good morning everyone

I apologise in advance for the essay but here goes ……

I don’t post very often but read all the time (I am quite a shy person and not very good at expressing myself).

I need some advice from you lovely helpful bunch :T

I have been at my target for several months – I don’t go to group for two reasons, one is as I have just mentioned, I am not very good with large groups of people and two, there isn’t one nearby at a convenient time for me.

My big problem is I think similar to Banjo’s – my OH seems to want to sabotage my weight loss. All week I am absolutely fine sticking to SW plan as I am in control of all my meals - I do all the cooking – weekends are a disaster as we tend to either eat out or get take-aways etc. He gets funny with me if I don’t eat the same things as him – I get the ‘if you’re not eating/drinking it then I won’t have it either’ attitude but then when I start to put a few lbs back on (which I have done in the last few weeks) he comments that I am looking a bit ‘podgy!’. It seems I can’t win. My target weight is 8st 4lb but over the last few weeks I have gone back up to 8st 9lb and although I know that may seem low to other people I do feel bigger at that weight and my size 10’s are starting to feel uncomfortable.

I know deep down that it is up to me to control what I put in my mouth but it is so difficult when it creates an awkward situation at home – I tend to just give in and eat/drink whatever he wants just for a quiet life :(

Once again, sorry for the rant

Awwhhhh, hugs to you sukeyboo. I can empathise with your situation. :(

I'm afraid I can't offer any helpful advice as nothing has improved for me :o

Just had a phone call come through following my referral from the GP to the aptly named 'Waist-lines' service. ...

    Hope its useful Stef :)

I've had a bad day, so hope everyone has had better ones than me :)

    B. Muller light vanilla yogurt.
    L Bowl of cherries.
    D. Home-made veggie soup (passata, onions, leeks, celery, pointed cabbage, carrots) with (I suppose) 2 wholemeal mini sub rolls for HEX B so I wont get nagged so much :p

A large glass of calvados for my syns :)
  • Can anyone recommend a really sharp kitchen knife?...I'll hide it from my wife

Since starting SW, it feels as if I've skinned 100 chickens and chopped several ton of veg.

I've tried sharpening my favourite all-purpose utility knife, but it still pulls chicken skin instead of cutting through it!
