Just had a phone call come through following my referral from the GP to the aptly named 'Waist-lines' service. I emailed them this morning following receiving a letter to make an appointment and their phone line being constantly engaged. Have got my appointment next tuesday. She has said i will need to fill out one of their food diary sheets and i can take my slimming world ones too if i want but they dont go off them?! Asked why i have been referred if i am already doing something about weight loss management and seemed a little shocked when i said i had become stagnant and getting fed up over it, she then did a u-turn and said i am going about things the right way and hopefully they can help me out :T Then i can come in here full of more wisdom to impart on you all.

Contact them and get it replaced/repaired. They are the worst friers on the market for needing repairs and not being value for money.

Do you not have the receipt? I'd certainly be taking that back!

How many chips can you have for how many syns when using one of those (I presume it's homemade chipped potato chips) ?

Oh, maybe I won't bother then! I'll stick with traditional SW chips/wedges :)

Just thought I would also share this with you all too, I have the Philadelphia cookbook that I have dragged out of the cupboard earlier today and looking through the book it seems that alot of the recipes are already SW friendly by using the philly as an A choice or with small tweeks can be made to fit.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philadelphia-Cookbook-Heavenly-Recipes-Using/dp/0091922828#_

We are going to try some Lime and Corriander chicken tomorrow or Tuesday from the book. We have decided to replace the philly with quark though to make it even lower in fat then as it'll be a 'green day' we are serving it on a bed of lemon and corriander cous cous. I'll let you all know how it turns out :)

Saw this book at work this morning on offer with the 'bookman' only £4 so if you want a copy keep a lookout on the 'bookman' if you have one where you work :)

Is he quite a jealous person about other things? Just thinking if he maybe feels insecure about you looking and feeling your best and worrying that you could go off with someone else, however irrational that may be? Read things about that happening before so don't think it's actually that uncommon. Anyway just a thought. Either way a chat is definitely on the cards...

No, the strange thing is that he seems to really like the 'new me' but I think that he feels he always wants to 'share' things together - including what we eat & drink

He doesn't have many friends where we live at the moment and works from home so doesn't get much opportunity to socialise apart from with me at weekends.

Thanks everyone for all your advice - it has helps a lot to 'talk' things through with you all

I've just phoned Amazon & i'm sending it back for a refund although they don't have anymore in stock so I won't be getting a replacement.

It did make nice chips & roasties which were syn free using Frylight instead of oil although breaking after only being used a handful of times i'm glad i'm not having a replacement.

The gadget show recommended the Phillips Airfryer but they only do a 800g version whereas my Actifry was 1.5kg (there are 2 adults, 2 hungry teenagers & 2 toddler's in our family so we needed the bigger one).

My sister has the airfryer and had no complaints over it. She also tried the breville halo but said it was pants as the paddle just smashed everything up.

Haven't tried any of these - thought about it but am too [STRIKE]stingy[/STRIKE] frugal ;) Personally (and from an MSEr point of view) I think those mesh trays from Poundland are fab - OH specifically requests chips done like that so they must be good!
