  • Thanks Stef I had looked online and couldn't find them either. I also have the books but not in them either. The list is spices only but there is monosodium glutamate in it so am not sure about that. Any idea?

If on your travels you happen to see my horses running at full pelt with my waggon in tow could you kindly try to stop it please - I'm not doing at all well this weekend :(

Yes, I know the feeling, mine is running alongside you - working, so had packed lunch provided - HUGE roll with ham, salad, then crisps, choc bisc, profiterole and jam doughnut. Healthy or what? Anyway, halved the roll and filled it with the salad but caved in to the lure of the brick-like jam doughnut which I was still digesting at 11pm last night!

Welcome MIT and anyone else new, this is a lovely 'madhouse' to be in!
  • Morning all,
hope you are all feeling positive today!

Payday for me - first in the new job....never goes quite as far as you hope though hey! need to shift from a weekly budget mindset to a monthly one now. Should help me get 100%on the ball with my lunches for work though which is good!

Just scoffing my porridge - love this stuff now! then will quickly throw together my lunch before putting on my new dress and matching jacket which make up the suiting I bought yesterday! Had to buy the jacket in an 8 to get a fit I was happy with...I don't think I've ever actually worn an 8 :O

Was talking to the bf and my dad about that though. looking in the mirror I know I'm in an 8 but my brain still says I look big :( Will need to work out a way to change my body perception or will I end up with a 'big' mindset forever?!

    Hello all,

Big well done to all the losers and hugs to those who are struggling or sick.

Swiperno - meant to say hello on Fri. Hope yo're ok and things improve on the job front x

Stef & Beanie- I haven't seen that ice cream before but it sounds A-MAZ-ING! Drooling just thinking about it! May need to get some for a post WI treat, not this week though as tonight's treat is some garlic bread ;)

MIT - MSG is basically salt so the spices should be syn free :)

WI tonight but don't feel like I've lost anything. Been sooo good all week but it is * week (sorry Banjo and Rob!) and since I came off the pill and my body has got used to not being on it, everything around * week is that bit more amplified, so wouldn't surprised if I hadn't lost due to that. Would really like to get my 5 stone (3lb to go) by next week so we'll see. Probably ended up being a few syns under as had saved some for a few drinks on Sat but ended up just having one glass of wine and a few Kettle chips, after that just had some diet Dr Pepper and a cup of tea with pregnant friend whilst our hubbies drank beer!

    EE today:
    B: Weetabix (B), milk (A), banana
    L: Scouse, satsuma
T: Pasta bake, bit of cheese, garlic bread
S: Got a craving for fruit pastilles so might grab a packet on the way home.

Got a lift in with OH this morning but brought my trainers in to walk home as fat club is on the way - last ditch attempt to displace some of this bloat! :o

    Have a good day folks!

MSG is salt so from sounds of it your spices will be free.

BCS Do you follow any of the slimming world meal plans or do you plan your own meals? The next four days are back to basics for me following the SE meal plan on the website so there will be tantrums on thursday night if i dont see a loss.

WIZKID when planning your meals try looking at the SS symbols at the side of foods to speed up losses as a lot of the things you have dont have a speed symbol on them.

For everyone else that has stuggles this weekend grab hold of those horses and reign them in so you can jump back on that wagon. Today is the start of a new day in a new week, we all know we can do this [virtual kicks to backsides to all in need].

There will be too much info to take in for your initial meeting, roughly half an hour will be taken up by the consultant explaining the plan with you but it is skimmed through quickly and many complain its too quick to understand the ins and outs {thats where we come in to help}.
The next part is where you are asked to join in with the group and listen to the ups and downs of the previous week for the other members, where you can share recipes and ideas. At the end of the group your consultant will take your details down on the computer, issue you with an online passcode, take payment and then move you over to the scales where you will get your initial weight, be told what your club 10 will be (loss of 10 percent of your body weight) and asked if you want to set a final target = there is no pressure to set one at this stage.
Many groups also do a raffle to win a prize set be individual consultants, theres a slimmer of the week basket where if you have lost the most amount of week you take the goodies donated by others in the group and then you have the 'shop' where you can buy cook books, food optimising books - essentially meal plans to help you start on the correct path, cereal bars and scan bran - ryvitas ugly sister.

If after group you still feel consumed by the whole thing come back and ask advise we dont bite :)

  • It sucks to be me today, too! :(

All through last week I was feeling as light as a feather and with extra spring in my step. I saw some new lows on the bathroom scales and was confident of showing a good loss for my 'official' Monday morning weigh-in.

Instead of that, it seems this week my body has other ideas and I am feeling so heavy and bloated - the bathroom scales are telling me I now weigh 1lb more than when I started. I know I had a bad night on Saturday but really can't see how that would account for a fluctuation of five pounds in a matter of a few days.

    I'll check again tomorrow.
