  • Evening all,

I'm really not doing very well at keeping up with this thread any more :(
Still managing to keep myself motivated enough not to slip back in to old habits :)

Was going to grab a subway (all free salad inside, HeB+3 syns for the bread) for lunch tomorrow as I need something super filling but then decided I couldn't be bothered so bought a salad bowl from the local sainsbobs, boiled some eggs to chop up and throw in, will add some lean meat and chopped beetroot in the morning :D having it with a free mugshot to make it a hot noodle salad plus 2 satsumas and a jelly pot (0.5syn) to make for a super filling lunch :)

Breakfast will be the usual porridge (HeB) with a banana and 1tsp golden syrup (2syn)

    Spag bol for tea (5.5syn)

8syns in total so enough left for a little biccie at work when the elevensies strike or at the looong meeting I have to attended tomorrow :)

Going to push myself to take a decent walk on my lunch break - it's payday tomorrow and I have 2 copies of the new Baker Brothers book (signed) to go and pick up so if my pay has cleared I will go and do that...if I can find the right place!

  • Going to join you folks if that's okay. I've lost 2 stones 1lbs so far with slimming world and am hopefully nice and settled into the diet. I made steaks tonight with mustard sauce from the extra easy cook book and it was absolutely fabulous. Had it with loads of brocolli, boiled potatoes and HM SW roasties. Strawberries for pud. Stuffed to the lugs now :D.

I was introduced to the joys of a Halal shop today and bought some spice mixes. Does anyone know the syn values for these as I cannot find them. They appear to be just spices but you never know. They are made by a company called national and I am really really hoping for a no syn vale as they make the best curries and marinades ever !!

Welcome to the mad house
For your spices you would need to read the ingredients list to ensure they are solely spices and herbs and no milk powders, sugars etc. If they are the former then they will be free if the latter then would need to be synned. The name national doesnt come up on a search of syns online.

What bolt caused those horses to run?
I have just had 2 slices of toast with natural yogurt and mixed berries on to try and dispel the nagging hunger pangs for hubby to sit next to me with Carte d'or cinammon waffle ice cream the beast

  • Good evening, hope you have all had a lovely weekend. :A

I'm feeling really nervous tonight as it's my 5th weigh in tomorrow & I don't think i've lost anything (I hadn't when I weighed myself this morning anyway:o).

If I don't lose anything then that mean's i'll of only lost 1 lb in 3 weeks & i'll most likely buckle and give up. :o
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

BCS I have been like that since last November I keep trying.. with the encouragement of these super kind folk on this site. It is very disheartening when you keep trying and nothing happens. I feel like I'm stuck in quicksand and the more I struggle to get out, The more I slip back further down. I wouldn't care if I was eating sweets chocs and cakes and all the things I shouldn't. Anyway, I'm not giving up without a fight and you shouldn't either. Good Luck
