Just about to go for a weigh in wish me slim LOL it's been a tough couple of weeks....0
-
Evening everyone, hope you've all had a good day.
Fluff when you go out for your meal can't you ask for some veg without butter....especially as you've worked there in the past won't that be possible ?? I know going out to eat isn't always easy.
I've had a quiet day today, been to my allotment for an hour first thing which I enjoy. Was going to do some digging but it was so cold pottered in the greenhouse with my seeds and came home to get warm when I couldn't feel my finger ends :-)
Tackled some housework then and spent a few hours with DD and DGD. DGD is juat walking and is so busy all the time, she is such a joy. :-)
Todays food is EE
B weetabix with skim milk and a bannana hea +b
L a vegitarian sausage caserole with loads of superfree veg (2 syns for the sausage)
D home made veg soup.... just looked in the fridge chopped up some sorry looking veg and added a stock cube and lentils... all ready to eat :-) with melon
S an orange and Fat free natural yogurt
Other syns... maybe a small glass of wine and a highlightsJue0 -
Good luck to those weighing in tonight. It's also my WI and I'm not looking forward to it.0

Not at my usual SW group tonight. Am trying a new one tomorrow night and crossing fingers that the consultant is better than the last one. She was as dull as ditchwater, no help at all and had zero personality. She stands there and watches a steady stream of people weigh in and then walk straight out.
I would have thought it would be to her benefit to encourage people to stay now and again but she doesn't seem bothered.
Oh well, can but try.:)0 -
Well something worked I lost 1lb I know it's not much but I was living real life last week and I was sure I would be at best the same as last weigh in...0

I also lost 1lb tonight so I'm pleased :beer:0

I feel like because I've been on WW's my portion sizes, especially of carbs, have been very small (40g pasta or rice) and I'm gravitating towards those same small sizes. I think I'm just not a very big eater and I felt that at times yesterday I was eating for the sake of getting in my 1/3rd super foods or having cups of tea to use up my milk allowance. I felt a bit over-faced with food yesterday!
I'm sure that I'll get used to it! It has been somewhat easier so far today.stef240377 wrote: »Missindependent In the group i attend we are told if you pile your 1/3rd on the plate and eat that first you can then go on to eat the remainder of your meal, this way it ensures you have those all important SF's eaten but means you are controlling the amount of food you have left to consume. This way it doesnt feel like a chore or going beyond your capable means to eat it.
This is exactly what I was going to suggest. It's actually something I've naturally done since I was a child so I don't even think about it, but it's still a great tip. I normally eat all the SF, then the protein and finally the carbs/starches (small portion) if I'm still hungry. You certainly don't have to eat a massive plate of food just because you can, provided you're getting enough nutrients/calories of course.
For your HEA, could you try another option rather than using up milk in tea? That's potentially a lot of tea to get through in a day depending what fat percentage milk you use, and would be filling you up before you even get to food which wouldn't be helping.
I was never a dairy fan, so I tend to use things with the lowest requirements. As an example, 200ml of the chocolate Kara/Koko or Oatley milk. That's one small glass and HEA is done for the day. Or take a look at the cheese list to see what is the lowest. I use lactofree cheese and it's only 35g which perfectly covers one ryvita. Makes a nice snack.Has anyone heard how many syns the new low sugar Tropicana has? I love OJ but hate to waste syns on it, wondered if this might be better.the nromal one is 2.5 syns for 100ml
so would expect it to be around that mark as the fruit will have produced its own sugars
It's not pure juice though, it's more like a juice drink with a much higher percentage of juice. So the syns should be lower. I looked up the calorie count and it's 42 calories for a small (200ml) glass, which should make it 2 syns (ok, I rounded down a tiny bit - it didn't seem fair to round up for 2 calories!) instead of 5 for the regular.
Also it uses stevia instead of the usual sweeteners, so I'm interested to try it when I see it. I very rarely add sugar to anything, but keep a small pot of Stevia around for when I do. Quite nice!0 -
I made a SW quiche last night and had it for my lunch with some lettuce today and it was really, really nice.
It's made using cottage cheese (which I normally don't like) but as a quiche it tastes really nice. It's also really simple to make.
I too cannot stand cottage cheese, you should try this one, I make it & freeze into 4 portions, one portion being your HEA, its very scrummy! I also use smoked bacon rather than normal to give it more flavour!:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T
