  • I've got WI in 2 hours and I am dreading it :( Been nill by mouth since 1pm.
I have really tried this week to be good but feel like I have failed mainly as I have been out of my normal routine. Ordered a proper curry on thursday night, started it felt so guilty i picked the chicken out and fed the rest to the dog :0
Belated valentines meal Saturday night at cafe rouge, ordered french onion soup and salmon nicoise salad but ended up eating the bread board :(
Christening on sunday with buffet picked at things I guessed would be ok. All in all not very happy with myself feel like a cheater :(

I think part of the reason for the 1/3 SF is to get people to reduce their intake of other food, so if you're stuffed maybe try reducing you're portion sizes a bit and/or have your SF as part of a meal more instead of a lot of fruit at other times. I found it came naturally when I got used to the plan, as most people find they can't eat as much as they used to, so see how it goes for you and maybe play around with it a bit. :)

Thanks, but I don't think I can healthily reduce my portion sizes anymore! I feel like because I've been on WW's my portion sizes, especially of carbs, have been very small (40g pasta or rice) and I'm gravitating towards those same small sizes. I think I'm just not a very big eater and I felt that at times yesterday I was eating for the sake of getting in my 1/3rd super foods or having cups of tea to use up my milk allowance. I felt a bit over-faced with food yesterday!

I'm sure that I'll get used to it! It has been somewhat easier so far today.

Finally back from the hospital. Hubby and i got a few funny looks when they came round asking if anyone wanted sandwiches for me to reply we were ok pulling out my bag two lock and lock boxes full of salad :rotfl:Hubby had tuna and cheese, i were sat with egg and ham so a lovely scent coming from our side of the ward - luckily by the window. His infusion seemed to take forever today. Anyway im back briefly before shooting out to the drs for myself.

Banjo you cheeky get lol i saw what you put!! breakfast looks great and so does tea, lunch a little light but baby steps to bully you in the right direction. You will thank us when you see the weight coming off ;) What part of the UK are you in, im sure there must be other groups near to you that are friendlier.

Missindependent In the group i attend we are told if you pile your 1/3rd on the plate and eat that first you can then go on to eat the remainder of your meal, this way it ensures you have those all important SF's eaten but means you are controlling the amount of food you have left to consume. This way it doesnt feel like a chore or going beyond your capable means to eat it.

Fluff a friend of mine is a reiki practioner and also assists in other holistic therapies. She swears by Vicks vapour rub for colds but not used in the conventional way. She says to apply it to the soles of the feet and it helps you breath easier than when applied to the chest or hankies caked in it.

Evening all.....I hope you don't mind a newbie jumping in??!!

I am considering joining SW - I have found a daytime class I can get to (full time mum, but hubby away alot so evening classes not easy, and that's without factoring taxiing the kids to all their evening activities!!) Anyway, I have a friend and a SIL who both swear by SW....but....looks over her shoulder and looks shifty....I have always been a WW girl and thought SW would be too complicated. Are any of you folks ex-WW???If so, how easy is it to shift mindest from points to syns and HEs???????

I lost a stone and a half last year on WW (on line) and it has stayed off (I was ill with pnuemonia last summer) but since Christmas I have plateaued big time and am thinking a complete change in approach might be in order. I'd like to lose at least another stone before summer arrrives, if not more. I have been working my through the thread and you seem so positive with some fab losses! One of the big, general, gripes with WW is that since they changed the points system a couple of years ago the losses just aren't as big/quick. I know that slow and steady wins the race, but it's so disheartening to do it right and only get half a pound off a week.

Any suggestions/tips for a SW virgin???? The class is on a Tuesday, kids are back to school Monday, so I have a few days to start changing mindset before committing to a class next week.

Has anyone heard how many syns the new low sugar Tropicana has? I love OJ but hate to waste syns on it, wondered if this might be better.

slimming world is simple ... you have free foods -you can eat as much as you like ....super free foods - you can eat as much as you like but at least 1/3 with every meal
hea - one choice of milk, cheese etc
heb -one choice of fibre based products, cereal , bread etc or tinned fruit or some soups

syns everything else you can have 15 a day but they reccomend between 5-15

there is no weighing involved apart from hea/heb

i mean you can literally eat and eat and eat and lose wieght

there were two former ww people at my group who said they are so pleased they changed from ww to sw

    p.s im a man lol ..

the nromal one is 2.5 syns for 100ml
so would expect it to be around that mark as the fruit will have produced its own sugars
