Welcome to the new members, any help you need im sure one of us will be around to dish it out.

Busy day for me so need to get backside into gear. Got to get housework out the way, try and fit in some Wii time before going to hospital with hubby where he will be hooked up on IV infusion for 2-3 hours so add on travel thats five hours gone today  Got to get home then a rustle up tea before getting myself to the Drs to have a check up on plantar fasciitis - no rest for the wicked!

Meals today are ill planned because of the hospital but will try and do my best.

    EE.
b, porridge with water, banana and apple
L, going to box up an egg and ham salad - hubby 'should' get his lunch while hooked up.
    T, mushroom risotto.
Hea milk. Syns will allow some incase i get a cuppa in the hospital as they only have semi, WW marshmallow wafer 3.

    Morning all,

Hi to the new folk - as Stef says, if you have any questions ask away :)

Walked into work today for the first time in about 6 months. Actually did my best time yet - 1 hour exactly for 4 miles (some uphill, and carrying a rucksack). Really pleased with that, and wasn't nearly as out of breath or sweaty on the hills as I used to be, partly due to weather being much cooler and also checked Endomondo and last time I did it I was 21lb heavier. Endomondo also said I'd used 630 cals, so if I walk home again tonight (should do as long as knee doesn't twinge too much) then again on Friday should help with a loss this week. OH drove as he's got a cold and is feeling rubbish, but he passed me half way along and said I was marching along like I was on a mission - I didn't notice him pass so must have been! :o

    EE today:
    B: Porridge (B), milk (A), banana
L: L/O chicken & mushroom risotto, rocket salad
T: Chicken supreme (2), rice, carrots & broccoli
S: Some form of chocolate (5-6)

Have a good day all :)

Hi Sharalee, where is the lump on your neck? is it at the back?Only, about 5 years ago I had one at the back of my neck near the top bone on my spine. I worried my self sick until I had an operation to remove it, The surgeon said he had never seen one so big when he took it out.It wasn't malignant luckily and he told me that 9 out of 10 were something and nothing. So don't worry it will be fine. But make sure you see someone about it. And all the best. Wizkid

    Thanks :)
No it's at the front. Doc has said it's my thyroid, but at this point we don't actually know what's wrong with it. Could be something, could be nothing. Can't even fit me in for the fasting blood tests I need for a week and a half, and then I have to wait for an appointment for an ultrasound. :(
Don't think it's going to be a quick diagnosis!

  • Hi all, I got a 'please come back to us, we really miss you' book voucher today and thought I might invest in another SW cook book. If anyone would care to recommend one they think would get lots of use, or even which might be a waste of money, I would be most grateful.

I have the Curry Feast one and am looking at maybe the All in One Extra Easy, Four Seasons or 30 Minute Meals.

I have the All in One EE. I like it and have made quite a few things from it.

I have the all in one book and it is as it states everything virtually in one pot/slow cooker so great for people working who want to bung it all in pot night before or early morning switch on and walk in with a great meal when they get home. Also have most of the other books too and to be honest rarely open them now as half the time my husband just looks the recipe up online and takes laptop in to kitchen.
That said i do like the 100 days optimising books, not cookbooks more meal plans but it helps make sure you are eating the right balance over your 3 meals with snack suggestions for those syns.
