  • I joined my local group 4 weeks ago and lost 11lb after 3 weeks. Weigh in tomorrow hoping for my first stone award. I am thoroughly enjoying the group session and already met some great people. I use the facebook SW page but any more help I can find here is great.

    Thanks SW

    afternoon!!

well today is going to be a bleh day i can feel it.... my friends wee baby that i was minding last week had a bad cold and have dutifully managed to catch it. thankfully i sound worse than i am, but i cant breathe through my nose which is annoying haha :rotfl:

tbh food hasn't even crossed my mind today so far - simply because i cant smell anything at all so its put a halt on my appetite (on that note does anyone know any decongestant type stuff that ACTUALLY works? beechams flu plus are rather naff, as is boots own brand - which my boss swears by apparently)

WI tomorrow night EEEEEEEEEKKK  i reaaaaaallly hope i have a good loss.. at the min depending on how today and tomorrow morning goes, im probably looking at 3lbs max which is fine, but secretly hoped for more (cant be greedy though can i :rotfl:)

on another note, a friend and i are going to my old work for lunch on sunday, and im wondering how to work around the main course. its kind of like a buffet, but from working there for years i know that all the veg are drenched in butter and the roasties are deep fried in veg oil. is there any way to work around this?

This works a treat, the blocked nose thing is usually your sinisus so try this

Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I think people have different opinions on this. Ideally make 1/3rd of your meal superfree where you can. Sometimes this doesn't work so easily though so I have meals without any superfree but will try to have superfree snacks so that at the end of the day if you divided my total consumption 1/3rd of it should be superfree.

But some days my superfree is 1/6th if I'm lucky :rotfl:

WI tomorrow morning so being strict today. Don't think I'll stay for the boring member chat. Shame I don't seemed to have chosen an inspiring Group.

    B. muller light vanilla yogurt poured over summer fruits AND 35g muesli ( that should keep Stef quiet he he )
    L. 2 celery sticks, with 25g Philadelphia light with chives (2 syns) wrapped with lean ham.
Snack. Muller light yog. Kiwi fruit.
    D. Grilled salmon fillet, nude potatoes, green beans, asparagus, broccoli.

It's freezing out there, what happened to the Spring-like weather last week?
  • thanks TIE, so far the only thing that has cleared anything is a brisque walk in the cool air to mr A round the corner from my work (easter eggs are on offer there, so was getting sorted early)

i dont sound the best considering im sitting on a reception desk though im thinking i really need to go to my doctor (unfortunately) since i seem to have spent the last 6 months pretty much constantly with a cold. i think ive honestly had about a month in that where ive been perfectly healthy... (for me anyway lol) since july time.
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

Well day 2 today! Day 1 was ok, I was just a bit worried that I might be eating too much fruit and felt that I was having to force myself to eat some of the superfree foods (the 1/3rd with every meal was hard, I felt stuffed)

I think part of the reason for the 1/3 SF is to get people to reduce their intake of other food, so if you're stuffed maybe try reducing you're portion sizes a bit and/or have your SF as part of a meal more instead of a lot of fruit at other times. I found it came naturally when I got used to the plan, as most people find they can't eat as much as they used to, so see how it goes for you and maybe play around with it a bit. :)

As Fannyanna says, there's debate about this. Personally I try to have more than 1/3 SF with lunch and tea and maybe have a piece of fruit afterwards as well, just to make sure. As I mentioned above, part of it is to reduce intake of other stuff, which having it as part of a meal does. Your consultant might say you don't have to but if you are and are happy with that there's no need to change it, after all there's not really such thing as too much SF (a few types of fruit excepted!) :)

What happened to being Mullered out?! :p

It's the wind that is bad here - sun has come out a bit but wind is freezing. My ears were aching coming in this morning so might have to don the hat going home but don't want to mess up my hair :rotfl:
