I've been using 2 of these rolls as my Hex B in the past.
The optimising book I got in my Starter Pack this year states:
healthy extra b choices
bread
Wholemeal bread is a Healthy Extra because its higher in fibre than other bread
60g of any wholemeal bread (my emphasis)
60g wholemeal roll
So the M&S mini wholemeal sub rolls should be okay as long as not more than 60g?
Edit: I believe they are 27g each.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Phew thanks Stef,
I'm easily confused
I think it's the lack of alcohol :rotfl:0 -

Hi Everyone,
Can I please join you?
Have been doing SW for a while now and just before my wedding in August had lost nearly 2 stone (anyone from the wedding forum might know me as Hadley 1 or Hadley 2). Have managed to put 1 stone back on though.
So am back on it again... excitement of wedding, honeymoon, christmas etc all over. I will be thin again. I tend to follow the EE plan as that fits with my life. I generally lose, but it tends to be slow.
But am feeling smug as sitting here eating my tuna cous cous and with an apple for afters and not even looked at the bread pudding and biscuits in the office. Also have SW curry in teh slow cooker for me and hubby's dinner later:)0 -
Ah I see. I wonder why they were on the list in the first place then? Looking at some of the other wholemeal loaves there's little difference in fibre between those and the pittas so I'm not sure where the cutoff is. I have the Asda pittas, which used to be one of the few specified. Oh well, I'm still having them!
*Throws dummy out the pram*
I love my WM pittaI warm it & half it then stuff it with salmon & salad, WM roll just wouldnt be the same, Its the Asda ones I use as well x
ETA: I may nip into M & S at lunchtime tomorrow to buy these, I will feel better having 2 (even thought its the same weight as 1 WM roll, my head tells me its still only one) :rotfl::TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Hi All
Attempting this tonight, chicken curry, hope its yummy
2 large onions, sliced
568ml/1pt chicken stock
2 tsp turmeric
3 cardamom pods
1 x 2.5cm/1in piece cinnamon stick
4 black peppercorns
4 cloves
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tbsp peeled and grated root ginger
1 tsp ground cumin
½ tsp mild chilli powder
3 garlic cloves, crushed
4 skinless and boneless chicken breasts, sliced
283g/10oz fat free natural yogurt, bought to room temperature
salt
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, to garnish
Put the onion and 426ml/¾ pt of the chicken stock in a large, heavy-based saucepan. Cover the pan, bring to the boil and then boil for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat, uncover the pan and cook gently for 20 minutes, until the onion is tender, golden and syrupy.
Add all the spices and garlic to the pan, and cook for 3-4 minutes. Then add the chicken and cook for a few minutes to coat in the spices, then stir in the remaining chicken stock.
Cover the pan and simmer very gently over a medium heat for 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked.
Transfer the curry to a large serving bowl. Add 4 tbsp of the cooking sauce to the yogurt and stir well. Gradually add the yogurt into the curry, stirring continuously.
Season to taste with salt, and serve immediately with boiled rice (Free on Extra Easy and Green or 2 Syns per 28g/1oz boiled on Original), and garnish with the chopped coriander.0 -
Hope everyone is having a good day, I am loving the sunshine. Going my run later today and really looking forward to it. Might even be able to finish before it gets dark! :j
Breakfast - Porridge (HEB, water) with berries
Lunch - Sushi (2) and salad
Dinner - Meatballs (2 - didn't have them yesterday, forgot to buy pasta for DH) and veg.
Snacks - Apple, banana, and an HEA choice for post-run. Leaning towards choc kara/koko.
Treats - Mini danish (5) and FF yoghurt
Quite pleased with myself, had to make a cake for a photo shoot and I'm not even tempted to have any. Didn't even sample the frosting leftovers! Have packed the whole thing up and am sending it in to DH's work.0 -
well done losers! :j and hello to all joining us
not feeling too good today, pesky cold.. all bunged up with a dribbly nose and aching all over!
anyway, food today (green) looks like..
B: all bran (A+B) banana
L: veggie soup
T: chicken (B) + leek pie, broccoli + carrots.. fresh fruit + yoghurt
the pie looks yummy, ready to go in the oven later.. I added some asparagus + onion to the filling and didn't use the amount of stock it gives in the recipe.. used a bit of water and a chicken stock pot then added a good dollop of quark to make it a bit creamier.. mash was topped off with a bit of cheese (A)
extra syns: probably a hifi (6) and hot choc (2) later0 -

Afternoon all,
Just sneaking on whilst I'm alone in the office!
Today was going to go so well...then I got to work. I am actually still below the usual syns number so as long as I have smash and not chips with my tea I will be on par for a good day - just frustrated at this want to snack! I think it may be because I'm at the point in my cycle where the snackyness comes in (even though *weeks are medically controlled for me I still get these stupid cravings haha!)
Ahh well - dust myself on and get on with it!
Bumped in to someone from group in town on my break, was nice to see them as I haven't been in three weeks!
Also weighed myself in Boots and I am happy to say that I am still at Target! Just need to remember not to hammer it too hard in the gym when I go back next week! hehe
Hope your (not so) little one is feeling better Banjo
Wishing a good afternoon to you all!************************************
