BCS Hope things work out for you soon, and its a great attitude to have that you wont let anyone else sabotage something you are doing for you. My husband tells me every day he loves me the way i am but then i throw back at him that he didnt fall in love with some one who was (at the time) a size 16/18 he fell in love with a size 12 so he can get his head round me going back to that size :rotfl:. He also cuddles me often saying i am melting before his eyes or disappearing depending on his mood.
Today has been really lovely here the sun had his hat on  So as soon as my daughter come back home hubby, son and i jumped into car to a surrounding town to have a wander around and enjoy the warmth. Avoided all temptation while out and ate as soon as we got home so meals today have all been on plan.
Meals today are EE.

Well I am completely rubbish at this....
week 1 - STS
week 2 - loss 2 pound
week 3 - gained 3 pounds !!
To be honest, I fell off the wagon in the middle of last week and I think that it was because I knew that I was going away for the weekend as I never really got a grip.
At the back of my mind I thought that I would go away and ask for a steak and salad....but I didn't.
Managed 2 drinks on Friday afternoon of lime and soda and then threw myself into the drinkfest (that seems to be what the reunion is about) with a relish. Didn't go to bed until 4.30 on Saturday morning after eating the special offer lasagne, chips and garlic bread, washed down with copious amounts of lager.
It seemed rude at the hotel to not enjoy the breakfast.....and then we had another night on the pop !!
Got home really tired and eat every bit of chocolate that I could put my hands on ....at least its all gone now.
Hopefully I will be able to take myself in hand, I just have it at the back of my had that the last couple of times that I tried SW that it didn't work... I really want to succeed this time.0 -
Hugs to BCS and anyone else who needs them.
Our scales decided to act up and return wildly different readings even only a minute apart. So got a new pair and am up nearly 4lbs on it. DH is up the same as well (he's at target) so I think I pretty safely say it's actually a STS. Not surprising.
So back on the wagon today with EE...
Breakfast - Porridge (HEB, made with water) with berries and a banana
Lunch - Chicken and salad (possibly Nando's - 3 if so)
Dinner - Leftover calendar meatballs with veggies (2)
Snacks - Apple, FF yoghurt, lactofree cheese (HEA)
Haven't decided how to use treat syns yet.
DH liked the meatballs, I found the flavour a bit lacking. Had to thicken the sauce a lot (hence the syns above) as it was like water. Thinking I should have let the stock reduce down, even though it didn't say to.0 -
Morning all,
Well done to all the losers/STSers, and hugs to the strugglers. Had a decent weekend foodwise, stuck mainly to plan and had a few glasses of wine that I pretty much accounted for during the week, so am crossing my fingers for a loss tonight. Feel a bit bloated though so we'll see.
Re. stray kitties- we've had a few strays wandering around and always come into out garden (I wonder if it's because they know we're a cat friendly household?). The most recent was a mum and two kittens, which next door have taken in so they live in their shed, and another adult who they feed but doesn't live there. I hate to see kitties without a home but we've got 4 already and since the strays are feral they pick fights with our cats; still, at least next door are looking after themgot a kitten who will be 1 in June, have just started letting her outside now she can't have babies, never knew you could get cats chopped, I will have to look into it.
Do you mean she has or hasn't been spayed? If I were you and she hasn't I'd get her done ASAP- they reach maturity (so can get pregnant) from 5-6 months of age!
ETA: Just realised the last bit probably meant chipped- I took it as being chopped, e.g. spayed/neutered! If that's the case ignore me!Feeling a bit worried.:( Last couple of weeks I have gained half a pound each week. Prior to that I'd lost 1st 10 lbs by following the plan, not eating between meals and using syns on things like meringue nest, gravy granules, half fat creme fraiche etc. Not crisps, sweets, cakes etc.
<>
I have never turned to food as a comfort so I am finding this worrying.
I feel for you Pennylane, it must be so frustrating sticking to it and not seeing a result. In terms of turning to food, I think it is just a natural reaction to what is happening- somethin had to give, and it sounds as if it was a bit of a rebellion against something that you are doing quite strictly to what seems like no avail. Do you not use your syns for junk because you think you shouldn't, or beacuse you genuinely don't want it? If you don't want it, fine, but maybe it would help to try and 'enjoy' it a bit more and give your body a bit of a shake up. I wouldn't be surprised if you lost this week after having cake! Hang in there *hugs*
Green for me today:
B: Porridge (B), milk (A), Options (2)
L: Pasta, roast veg, pesto (1.5), parmesan (1)
T: Pasta or jacket spud, cheese (A), bread (B)
S: Going to try one of the new chunky Kit Kats if they have any

Hey don't be hard on yourself, it's all a learning curve and there will always be times when there's additional temptation or we're not as well behaved as we might have wanted to be.
I have only been at this three weeks or so too and have STS again myself this week. Despite the scales not telling me so, I do feel like I have lost weight and am feeling better about myself already. TOTM can play havoc and that's my excuse for the past week
I feel I have at least broken a few bad habits, I am mostly eating better food and had no bags of crisps nor bags of Haribo that were my downfall and being scoffed on a regular basis. I have introduced some new healthier meals to the repertoire that will be keepers, all of which have been highy commended by the fella.
I know I have not been perfect and had a pancake or three too many last week, but in general I am not feeling deprived, nor hungry between meals there's still stuff in the house that I would prefer not to be here but it is gradually disappearing and being replaced with SW friendly choices.
As much as it pains me, there is an opened carton of orange juice that's about to be chucked. It's been in the fridge for over a week and I really can't bring myself to waste my syns on stupid juice. :rotfl:Mortgage

Morning, is it ok if I join in?
I have done SW before and lost 3 1/2 stone. But I have piled it on again after my 3rd baby.
It's time for it to go! My OH is doing the 5:2 diet, but there's no way I could have 500 cals 2 days out of 7. ( you eat normally the rest of the week) I know SW works and I was never hungry.
There is a class on a Wednesday. So I will rejoin then. But I will start today and hope I remember everything. I'll have a read back at your menus and the first page and refresh my memory. Hope you don't mind me asking questions?
I'm going to go and plan my day xx:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
