I find coleslaw is very much a personal taste. Some don't like too much cabbage, or onion, or prefer chunky cut to shredded etc.
How I made mine today, using white cabbage, carrots and onion in whatever ratio you like best. I used red onion instead of spring onion:
Blanche the chopped white cabbage with boiling water, so it hasn't got the raw taste and to soften it a bit. Cool quickly with cold water in colander. Add grated carrot. mix a bit of salt in and mix all together. Leave for 15 mins to dry. Add chopped onion.
Then I mixed all together with Hellmann's Lighter Than Light Mayonnaise which is 0.5 syn per level tablespoon.
As I'm having this tonight with chicken tikka, I put a little bit of cajun seasoning in to give it a little kick. I think some people put mustard powder in.
I've tasted it and like it, but others may not agree:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

1 tin toms
1 tin of carrots
1 tin of beans
1 stock cube
1 large or a few smaller pickled onions.
I have also thrown in a tbsp of basil
Bung in a pan to warm through, blitz return to pan to ensure its hot or like i have done bunged into a systema soup mug and nuked for 2 mins. Quickest soup ever and pretty cheap too.
Am going to have a go at this in the weekI really don't get the onion thing though! But I'll try anthing once.....I assume the tin of beans means baked beans??

Evening, hope everyone is well.
Does anyone know how many syns are in a 54g Snickers More Caramel bar?
I can only find the normal ones online that are bigger bars. It has 281 calories in so I'm thinking it's going to be alot.
I had an accident whilst shopping in Tesco earlier.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Not had a fantastic couple of days...had a glass of wine last night which turned into 2 oh dear
Today started ok with normal weetabix and banana breakfast but then I've been busy and only had 1 more banana all day till hubby cooked kids a pizza for their tea...I shamefully stole a slice from my daughter (she never eats it all) then I ate 3 cocktail sausages from the fridge...
I've tried to put it back an an even footing by having a red day meal of a mixed grill; lamb and pork chops, a small bit of steak, gammon, egg, 2 WW sausages (1 syn) mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and a few oven chips (6 syns) sadly though I fear my plan of washing it all down with a glass or two of Tia Maria and diet coke may mean I'll go over my syns for the day :undecided0 -
