hellooooooooo fellow losers
whats the banter?
well i finally bit the bullet and re-joined group again last night. i kind of begrudge paying the money, but i have a deadline to be at target weight for, and i honestly think that the fear of being weighed in will make me shift my backside.... i hope.
though what i find fascinating, is that its a different group and the consultant on first glance seems sooooooooooo much better. much more relaxed, knows how to get the best out of the group members etc. my last one seemed rather formal and regimented in comparison.
i have 6 weeks to drop 1st, and all in all have 10-12weeks to be at my first target of 12st 3lbs.... i can do it. im so annoyed that i managed to put it on again that im gonna work doubly hard at losing it. if you only use say.... 7 syns a day, will that be detrimental in the long run?

The group I used to go to had a mass order for Joes Sausages and everyone raved about them - I never bothered as I'd rather have a bacon butty myself.
I went to group last night for the 1st time in 3 weeks - I'd put 4 on which took me out of my target range - I had my cash in hand ready to pay as I'd eaten loads of rubbish and been out for meals. But it was a weeks grace - so I need to loose at least a pound for next week........
Today I have had
Muller light strawberry yoghurt and strawberry and raspberries for brekkie
Phili light snack pot with breadsticks -( need to check syns) for snack - just checked 6 syns.
Salad and ham for dinner - my halo was shining as I'd refused the chippy run
THEN I BLEW IT with a doughnut which one of the parents had brought in for us (been doing a playscheme over half term at the school where I work) couldn't find exact doughnut on website but seem to average at 11 syns!!!!!!!!
Tea will be rice with lemon and corriander and chicken stirfry which is
free.
HEA is milk
HEB - not had yet
After reading that list realised I've not blown it too badly - plus been doing body magic running round after a little fella with autism and a fasination and ambition to get through ANY door - AND HE IS FAST lolJanuary spends - £587.580 -

So, I'm going to cut out the avocado and olive oil, and use a tablespoon of extra light mayo at 1 syn. I'll add some lambs lettuce to keep up the superfree.
My wife can have the 2 avocado I've bought in hers
Here we go again. I explained to my wife that an avocado is 9.5 syns, so I'm going to have just a tiny bit in my salad. Her response "Well that's no good then, it's not worth having without avocado. Better have fish n chips instead".
Bangs head on wall and wails
I've tried explaining I don't mind it with little/no avocado. And it doesn't effect her at all.
Now she's in a mood. I can't understand it.
Hope everyone has a better time than me tonight0 -
i hardly use any and i lose weight ,syns are there incase you need them they are not compulsory
It is not very constructive to state they aren't compulsory just because the plan is currently working for you without them. What happens when the day comes when your weight loss slows/stalls?
For some people it works better to have a 'binge' day and stay relatively low syn during the week others prefer to have them daily and this is where it becomes a personal 'tweak'. If you are not using up syns then weight loss will be slower or showing plenty of STS than those who are. The first thing a consultant will do when provided with your food diary is to look at the syns first, then your HEX's followed by free foods and lastly super frees.
The reasoning behind them is to stave of deprivation. There's nothing saying you have to use them all up on sweet treats, you can use kitchen basics such as flour, butter and cornflour etc.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Hi,
I've just joined slimming world online & was surprised that there isn't an online forum there, so came on trusty mse hoping to find one & found you all
I have never done slimming world before, I usually follow weight watchers plan & although I have had sucess, I've always felt hungry & quickly piled the weight back on (+ more) after reaching target.
My friend recommended slimming world to me, she is also a previous weight watcher member & has said she never feels hungry doing slimming world, something she struggled with at weight watchers.
Its going to be hard getting used to the different plan but i'm looking forward to it.0
