My OH bought me a soupnmaker for valentines day, so romantic....ok so i got a 'wallart' with hearts on aswell but i suppose the soup maker was very thoughtful. Going to see what i can find to chuck into it today i think.
Soups are ridiculously easy to make you can throw anything in and come away with a great meal everytime and never any need to have the same thing twice.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

I agree that Stef would make a great Consultant. I'm so very grateful for Stef's wise words and knowledge on here :T
Hi Blodwen, but that is not the case in my Group. The person pushing the sales stocks them in their shop, and sells them to the Group at the prices charged in shop. Call me a cynic if you like
Well I was very surprised last night. Having my first taste of chocolate in 5 weeks. I opened a bar, but only had 2 pieces. Not because of any great willpower, just that I was satisfied with 2 squares and didn't want any more!
Have a great day everyone.stef240377 wrote: »Well done to you and thanks for the kind words. I was talking to someone on facebook the other day saying once you settle into a pattern of healthy eating the cravings for 'naughty' foods ebbs away because what you are eating satisfies you till the next meal so being able to stop at just 2 pieces without the desire to chomp your way through the others is showing you are getting better at this - now we just need to bully you into eating more at breakfast and lunch :rotfl:
Banjo - in that case I think you're right to be cynical - sharing costs for the good of everyone is fine but pushing stuff for your own gain isn't on.
Re. chocolate - it's amazing how the desire for it reduces isn't it? I think personally it's partly because I've realised that I can be satisfied with other things and also because it's limited I eat it slowly and really enjoy it. I really look forward to my nightly Freddo/choc biccy and make sure I make the most of it!2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

OH is a chef, he can do it!! I did syn the soup, cant remember what it was though so didnt write it on here. I dont do group, hard to get to and OH needs the car for work. round trip in a taxi would be £25:eek:

Morning all,
Gaz - glad you enjoyed the 'pie'!!! I wished my hubby was as thoughtful as you foodwise
I was looking forward to hubby cooking last night & would have been happy with a jacket & beans - but he couldn't be bothered so got me to phone & pay for takeaway instead - not good considering he doesn't like chinese or indian - so had kebab instead
Never mind - today is a new day
The Nutri-grain breakfast biscuits are lush - the fruit & fibre ones more so - perfect for me when still suffering morning sickness
I reccommend the Mustard chicken & bacon stew out of one of the books (think it was one pot wonder one) perfect with mustard mash & carrot & swede mash! I am using the leftovers as soup nom nom nom
Chilli Chocolate is lovely - the best is the one from waitrose - very dark choc & bigger hint of chilli - you don't eat alot at a time as it is quite bitter0 -

Banjo
I am a bit of a 'lurker' on this thread and don't post very often but love reading how everyone is getting on. If you don't mind me saying, you are doing so well considering the lack of support from your wife (sorry if I have spoken out-of-turn)
I couldn't agree with you more about 'treats', although my downfall was always more savoury things especially cheese. I found it incredibly hard when I first started SW to limit my intake of cheese, especially as my OH loves it too and was always trying to 'tempt' me with it, but after several weeks I didn't miss it as much. Now if I do have any as a treat (I am at target so can be a bit more lenient!) I don't actually enjoy it as much as I used to and find it easy to stop at just a small amount
Have a great Friday and brilliant (SW) weekend everyone :beer:0 -
Morning folks,
Well done Psycho and Stef on your losses. Stef, I agree that you'd make a great consultant
Banjo and others re. Joe's sausages - unless you live in the NW where they are made and sold locally, the only way to get them is by post and postage is expensive which is why a lot of groups get a bulk order together and share delivery costs. My local butchers do them and used to do 4 packs for £10 but have stopped doing it now and they're quite a bit dearer, but we've had the Sainsbury's, Morrisons and WW ones and have liked them all, so am going onto them when the current stock of Joe's have run o

I think you'd be a great consultant stef.. well done you! :j
And so say all of us!!!:T:T:T
Shame it's a financial no-no. I really appreciate you being such a support on the thread despite your RL issues. But you can be our resident thread consultant (very exclusive).:Aalthough my downfall was always more savoury things especially cheese. I'm another who prefers savoury to sweet. When I was getting to target I stopped buying cheese except some grated for the freezer for toppings/sauces. That way I couldn't be tempted to cut lumps off. It did my DH good as well as he's lost weight and lowered his cholesterol. Last week, cos I was below target, I bought a piece of Stilton hoping it would help. I've had two small slices!0 -
Hi all,
Query. Book says Dorset cereals simply delicious/nutty muesli is a healthy b. That's what I've been having for breakfast for a few weeks now.
But checking syns on-line, says they are 4 syns per serving. How are we supposed to get things right if SW contradicts itself like this? Sorry, rant over, but it so frustrating. Oh dear, think I need to get out more!
Anywhoo... can anyone help please? I've got loads of this in.
