    Hi all,
Query. Book says Dorset cereals simply delicious/nutty muesli is a healthy b. That's what I've been having for breakfast for a few weeks now.
But checking syns on-line, says they are 4 syns per serving. How are we supposed to get things right if SW contradicts itself like this? Sorry, rant over, but it so frustrating. Oh dear, think I need to get out more! :D
Anywhoo... can anyone help please? I've got loads of this in.

You're fine with 35g of that for your HEB. In the syns on-line it tells you how many syns if you'd already eaten your HEB (say for bread) and were having the cereal as syns. To find the HEXs you need to go into the on-line food diary where it lists all the HEXs. At least that's the way I use the cr*ppy website!

I was looking forward to hubby cooking last night & would have been happy with a jacket & beans - but he couldn't be bothered so got me to phone & pay for takeaway instead - not good considering he doesn't like chinese or indian - so had kebab instead

We had kebab for our valentines dinner last night too. Had a chicken one so that it was a bit better than lamb.

We had planned to have it though so that neither of us had to cook :D

I had a chicken one too - had some leftover chicken for my lunch! But i couldn't resist having some chips :o

It was nice not to cook - but i would have preferred an indian though

I read about the inflammation, I suffer! Rheumatoid arthritis.very active right now according to bloods, suffering waiting to start new meds :(

    Alas, a fellow sufferer :(

I have recently switched my NSAID from Meloxicam to Naproxen, and feel it's more effective. (I also inject myself with Methotrexate and Humira)

Well back on the SW approach today after the wilderness of last night :o

    B. Lean bacon in 2 M&S mini sub wholemeal rolls Hex B
    S. apple
    L. muller light vanilla yogurt poured over summer fruits
    S. Sharon fruit, kiwi fruit.

Now dinner has had to be amended. Note to self, check syns value BEFORE shopping!

I WAS going to prepare one of my favourite salads: A big bowl of fusilli pasta mixed with king prawns, avocado, tomatoes, fresh coriander, and drizzled with olive oil.

BUT an avocado is 9.5 syns

A tablespoon of olive oil 6 syns

There will be no syns left for my chilled chardonnay :(

So, I'm going to cut out the avocado and olive oil, and use a tablespoon of extra light mayo at 1 syn. I'll add some lambs lettuce to keep up the superfree.

My wife can have the 2 avocado I've bought in hers :D

Lost 38.5 lb with SW so far, 56LB to go!:A
  • I finally got my laptop back. :j

I had a bit of a relapse last night & ended up having an Indian takeaway. :o I'd been feeling really low for a few days due to problems with my oh so hadn't really been eating anything & was starving. :o I had about 1/3 of a chicken madras, 1/3 of a chicken biryani, a poppadom, a small onion bhaji & 1/3 of a naan bread. :o I'm not expecting to lose anything this week but hey i'm only human.

Anyway now that's out of my system back on plan today. :A
Breakfast - 2 Alpen Light bars (HEB), milk in tea (HEA).
Lunch - Wholemeal toast (3 syns), 3 bacon, 1 egg, beans & strawberries.
Dinner - Beef stew made with carrots, suede, parsnips, onions & served with mash potato.
Dessert - Muller Light yoghurt with strawberries.
    Snacks - Apple & banana.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

  • hellooooooooo fellow losers :D;)

    whats the banter?

well i finally bit the bullet and re-joined group again last night. i kind of begrudge paying the money, but i have a deadline to be at target weight for, and i honestly think that the fear of being weighed in will make me shift my backside.... i hope.

though what i find fascinating, is that its a different group and the consultant on first glance seems sooooooooooo much better. much more relaxed, knows how to get the best out of the group members etc. my last one seemed rather formal and regimented in comparison.

i have 6 weeks to drop 1st, and all in all have 10-12weeks to be at my first target of 12st 3lbs.... i can do it. im so annoyed that i managed to put it on again that im gonna work doubly hard at losing it. if you only use say.... 7 syns a day, will that be detrimental in the long run?
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
