    Morning folks,

Well done Psycho and Stef on your losses. Stef, I agree that you'd make a great consultant :)

Banjo and others re. Joe's sausages - unless you live in the NW where they are made and sold locally, the only way to get them is by post and postage is expensive which is why a lot of groups get a bulk order together and share delivery costs. My local butchers do them and used to do 4 packs for £10 but have stopped doing it now and they're quite a bit dearer, but we've had the Sainsbury's, Morrisons and WW ones and have liked them all, so am going onto them when the current stock of Joe's have run out.

EE today, and saving a few syns each day for a curry and a couple of glasses of wine tomorrow:
    B: Porridge (B), milk (A), banana
    L: L/O beef stir fry & rice
    T: Spag bol, parmesan (1)
    S: Pineapple, yogurt (1), Freddo (5)

    :)

Your welcome, a lot have asked for it, I wouldn't be without it now.

    Morning All

Well DH's pool was cancelled last night so we had a wee night together after all, & he brought me in sparkling rose for a wee treat, it was lush, so alcohol free for me tonight to save for tomorrows Indian meal, I had a look at the book so I have an idea of what is low in syns, however, pakora is not listed so I will just have to guestimate

Hope you all had a lovely evening.

    EE Menu Today

B - Berries, melon, pineapple, natural yoghurt
L - SW Quiche (HEA), salad, pineapple, melon
D - Same as last night to use rest of rice up
    S - Toffee muller, banana

3 syns for skimmed milk in coffee
    HEB - 2 x alpen lights

    Re sausages,
Sainsburys extra lean cumberlands so far in this household are the only ones that come with a thumbs up from all, they have the right meaty consistency with enough spice not to overpowering if having for breakfast.
M&s ones are a bit poor to be honest, they lack flavour and look rather like chipolatas when finished cooking but with both of these sausages being 0.5syns each you cant grumble.

Blodwen Thanks for the vote of confidence, however since sitting down with hubby and working out figures its not financially viable but is something to consider for the future should our luck change.

Macpep Looking on syns online for shop size pakoras around the 25g weight they are showing as 2-2.5 syns each on EE. So should give you some idea on how to guestimate syns for takeout.

Hi Blodwen, but that is not the case in my Group. The person pushing the sales stocks them in their shop, and sells them to the Group at the prices charged in shop. Call me a cynic if you like :)

Well I was very surprised last night. Having my first taste of chocolate in 5 weeks. I opened a bar, but only had 2 pieces. Not because of any great willpower, just that I was satisfied with 2 squares and didn't want any more!

    Have a great day everyone.

Well done to you and thanks for the kind words. I was talking to someone on facebook the other day saying once you settle into a pattern of healthy eating the cravings for 'naughty' foods ebbs away because what you are eating satisfies you till the next meal so being able to stop at just 2 pieces without the desire to chomp your way through the others is showing you are getting better at this - now we just need to bully you into eating more at breakfast and lunch :rotfl:
