Hi lovelies :hello: can I (re)join please? I've just had my second son, and before I got pregnant I was going great guns on SW. I'm now only 6lb above what I was, so not too bad really. Planning to re-join a group in a week or two but just easing myself into SW meals for now.
I don't eat meat so mostly stick to Green days- always looking for new recipe ideas.Hello all,
Hi to all the newbies - hope you're enjoying the plan so farand a big well done to all those who have lost, especially over Christmas.
Shellie and Stef - great posts, most of us need a bit of no-nonsense talk now and then! Re using up Christmas food - I didn't buy any but did use it as an excuse to eat some rubbish while at my bro's. Bro and his gf went on holiday on Boxing Day so my mum has been using up all the food at their house. Keep telling her just to chuck it as she's on SW too and admitted she doesn't really want to keep eating it but hates to waste it. Now I know where I get it from!
The one meal at a time thing reminded me of something our consultant put on Facebook - blowing your diet for one bad meal is like dropping your phone then thinking 'I might as well jump on it til it's smashed up' - makes you realise how ludicrous it is!!
Right, drain men have gone for now (not completely sorted but getting there) so going to heat up my soup. EE today:
B: ham and mushroom omelette, milk (a)
L: lentil and bacon soup, satsuma
T: Thai red chicken curry (1), rice
S: 2x hifi light (b), rocky (5.5)
Could your Mum donate some of the leftover goodies to a Food Bank? That's what I plan to do with ours.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

For me personally, either the SW switch is on or it is off.... and it has been off for a very long time. There are some things that have stuck with me ever since I joined slimming world (eg leaving spread off my toast etc) but slowly but surely naughty habits have crept back in including always having a constant supply of oven chips in the freezer. So much easier than washing spuds and prepping to make sw chips and if you are reading this and have found the perfect recipe for sw chips then please share
Anyhow I digress....
I almost feel ready for the sw switch to be permanently back on. In anticipation of this, I have purchased an A5 page a day diary and will be keeping a record of everything I eat every day. I will include any exercise I do (wont be much at the moment:rotfl:). Will also include how my mood is / what I'm up to - if the day at work is particularly busy/stressful/if I am feeling under the weather.
I did this back in 2011 and although the entries do not in any way resemble a sw food diary, it makes cringeworthy reading now to see all the rubbish I ate and does to some respect paint a picture of why I've put the weight back on. After only 2 days of filling in my diary this year, I'm already feeling guilty and looking forward to writing only good things. I'll also be planning, including menu ideas, writing shopping lists etc.
So good or bad / sw / not sw - it all gets written down.
SW is not a diet - its a lifestyle change. I'm not intending to be perfect day in/day out but I am going to work hard at it because I am fed up of feeling and looking how I do. I'm hoping my diary will help me achieve this.0 -

Day 3 of Dryathlon for me too. :T Found myself looking for a drink on new year's day evening but am fine today and last night (despite catching up with friends who were drinking alcohol!).0
