Hi there, hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year? Well done for biting the bullet and getting back to it! I'm borrowing my sisters wii....hoping it will help me get back into shape, although unable to exercise at the moment but when I can, no one will be able to stop me!
At the risk of sounding silly .... presume your club 10 is 10% of your weight? if you convert your weight stones x 14 plus the lbs and take 10% of that weight that will give you 10% i.e 15 stone 1lb would be 15 x 14 plus 1 = 211lb x 10% = 21.1lbs (divid by 14 is 1.5 stone)...hope this helps and this is what you were wanting - sorry if not)!
    xx

Thanks so much for that Clare. I'm dead thick when it comes to maths.
The wii really does help, in fact it's fantastic. Even doing only 15-20 mins starting off helps tremendously, build yourself up.
It gets to be a fix and gives you the feel good factor.
I fit comfortably in a size 12 skinny jeans, still do but tight  all through the wii fit.
Good luck on your weight loss journey, your in a good place on this forum, lots of lovely people, interesting conversations and comments and above all lots of help from a very friendly crowd.
    xx

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!

Thank you, I'm really missing exercise...although I weigh so much I usually am very fit and active....walking 1hr plus every day....biking 8 miles plus 3 times a week.....but was in an accident which meant that walking to the kitchen was out of bounds at first! getting better now can now walk for about 30 mins but not every day....little steps but I am now exhausted by just walking up the stairs! I didnt realise how big I was before because I was so fit and active! Hoping I can find some interesting things to do on the wii, even if just toning at first! xx

Just back from my first meeting in just over 2 and a half years, I am the same weight tonight as I was when I started last time it took me about 6 months to lose 4lb last time (I kept losing it and putting it back on) but my heart wasn't really in it. I am determined to lose a stone at a time this time around and my DH is interested in loosing some too so will follow the plan with me, it is hard when you have naughty stuff in the cupboard for a slim partner or the kids. No excuse this time and extra easy looks great I am on it.

It won't let me quote :( but for the person asking about joining a group or going it alone - join a group 100%, I actually asked the same question before I joined and everyone told me to go to group and I completely understand why now. I would never have stuck to it if I didn't go to group, getting weighed every week and having that support is what kept me motivated...

Thank you for this. I have decided to join the group on Tuesday evening. It is on tomorrow night but we are having friends round for dinner so its my final evening of the holidays as back to work on Friday.
Feeling quite excited about it - want to lose 4 stone. I'll never be a size 10 or even a 12 but a 14/16 will suit me fine. Currently in a 22 so enough is enough!!!!

There used to be a SW consultant that posted regularly on MSE but in case she's not around anymore, why not ask the consultant at your group? Failing that, you could contact SW directly via their website.

    LL :)

Hi, I joined Sw this morning. My consultant told the group not to do the countdown if anyone tout they were due to hit target, as the remaining weeks are lost.

Hi, hope there's room for one more. I rejoined Sw this morning on the 12 week countdown plan. I love Sw and it suits me well, I firmly believe everyone has the ruins diet for them. I've tried shakes only etc but felt dreadful on them, and they were ridiculously expensive.
I have various reasons for wanting to lose weight:
    * the last few years have been very negative for me due to serious chronic illness resulting in lots of major surgery. I feel that ivelost my identity to illness, and would like someone to notice me for a different reason.
    * I need one last, huge operation with a very length anaesthetic. The anaesthetist isn't happy to put me under for 12-14 hours until I hit 12'st 5,so another 3 st to go. I've already lost 2 st 5 through cutting down, walking more etc.
    * we have a wedding to go to in April. There will be lots of people there that I went to school with ten years ago. The young, pretty and rich crowd. Not my sort of thing but I have to go, family friends wedding. I'd just like to gain a little bit of self confidence before I go to that.

Look forward to talking to you all.

When I started my SW journey I did the Wii, I recorded my measurements, and found myself addicted to collecting stars. I moved on after about 6 months to doing Zumba with the wii. I can't wriggle my backside at all so there's no chance of me going to a group class. I signed up for gym about 2 months back as the next stage of progression.

Only a quick look in today as back at work (yukky yuk) - quick question? I do a fair amount of exercise, I try and do 3 gym sessions a week with free weights and some cardio to warm up and cool down, try and walk hounds every day even if it is just 10 mins and want to try and fit in a longer walk at the weekends.
Does this sound good? too much? not enough?

enjoy tomorrow everyone - oh and I do many frittattas to take to work for dinners. Lovely!

My advice to you is make sure you use every one of your syns every day. Yes I know you want to lose weight - your "Body Magic" (what we call exercise in the land of SW is great, not too much, but you need to make sure you eat as you burn. My body went into panic mode just before christmas, because I was walking 5 miles a day, zumbaing, and gyming every other. All on about 5 syns.
Baby Steps! Because of the exercise you'll drop more pounds faster, the free weights will TONE the fat, not burn it. The end result will be a non scrawny slender you!

The naughty stuff in our house has resulted in my gain over December. Have you an empty cracker tin? I find that if it is Visiable and Easy to reach it's fair game. Hide it - let them know where it is but you won't see it and before you know it you'll be snacking on the good stuff.

Cyclingyorkie, Gettingthere - got there and came back welcome again both of you. Frogga too! Gettingthere - Stay to group to maintain - it's (aside from christmas) worked for me. It's free while in that 3lb either way bracket remember and you have 1 week to get it back right other wise before you pay.

COUNTDOWN &Target. I was mid countdown when I hit target. I haven't lost my money - the machine does deduct it because it doesn't recognise it - acording to my consultant - I still have 4 weeks + a freebie.

virgomaiden - former size 24 here. When I joined at the end of Feb last year I thought 2 stone would be fab. a size 16 amazing. I'm a 14 now.. astounded... and still so far to go!

Nearlyrich - you are on your way :D

Something we all need to remember. Its not how we got to where we don't want to be that matters. What matters is you don't want it to happen any more. Doesn't matter how many times you have tried before. THIS TIME is different. What matters is THIS TIME it will work. This time you are in control because YOU WANT TO BE.

Newbies: I say this to every new starter in group. STICK to the 7 days 7 ways ideas in your new handbook( you will have got it if you are going to group) Stick to 10-15 syns. You will lose.

Oldies: the only person that knows your cheating, is you. If you don't like others lying to your face.. why do it to yourself.;) JUST SAY NO!

Thursday morning inspriational waffle over... shopping to do. :D

WI last night and I was astounded to lose 1lb! Just 4.5lb to go to target now :) looks like after all my stress I will do it by the end of my countdown and club 10 free week!

    Great post shellieholly!

Just having a cuppa whilst I catch up on here and write my mornings to do list and then will read through The Times quickly before starting my day at around 9am.

Going to try and stick on track today with an EE day:
B: toasted wholemeal roll (HeB) with jam (1syn) and a cuppa with milk (from HeA) and an apple
L: apple, and I think some pasta maybe
T: grilled chicken, rice and veg with veg sauce (5.5 syn)
S: apples as otherwise they will go in the bin!

Going to make muffins on saturday/sunday which bf can take to work with him as I've managed to talk him round to eating one as a breakfast substitute on his break! Then on Sunday we will be making our own pizzas! Super excited for that, I believe its 12syns for the base according to syns online and on mine the cheese will be my HeA :) ready to drop these last few lbs and hopefully sit towards the bottom end of my target hehe
