This link provided by someone above is useful https://www.slimmingworld.com/healthy-eating/non-vegetarian-menu.aspx
Also I think you can access some of the recipes from the book via one of those web scan (square) images. Not tried it yet.
I've had a lightbulb moment. Wholemeal bread isn't that bad. There I said it! And god damn I do feel more full with it. I think as its only me eating it (hubby hasn't come over from the dark side that is white bread) that I'll have to freeze some. Now I've never frozen sliced bread, only rolls. Just bunging say batches of 2 slices in a ziplock bag should work ok?

Fannyanna - well done on signing up. If you are unsure where to go mealwise try looking at the sample menu on SW online. This way you will get an idea of the quantities of food need to sustain and help you know what to be buying once out shopping.
As has been repeated on this thread several times this is not to be seen as a diet but a lifestyle change. So your 7LB loss to acheive would be easily doable once you get your head around the plan. I think alot of people lose that sort of amount over 2-3weeks providing you are sticking to plan 100%.
Good luck and we look forward to your updates.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

IN 6 weeks some of these lovely shiny new folk will be so empowered. In March with Easter.. they will pick out less chocolate and fat rich foods and come through Easter - lighter or only a small gain.
Just think of that summer dress!
I digress. Stef, humans are programmed to hoard, to covet more and better - Christmas exploits that on all levels. Thats why we do it.
Ooh what is that smile doing? It looks really rude :rotfl::o :rotfl:, or is it just my sense of humour?
I'm finding the information on this thread invaluable and I hope to be one of the ones empowered! ..... and to be able to help others!
I hoard, get sucked in by Mr T, Mr A, Mr S.... eat whats calling me from the cupboard....but I really do try not to....suppose I wouldnt be here if I didntbut taking it one meal at a time and hopefully I will get there! Still a stone lighter then I was at my heaviest 3 years ago so a small consolation!

Hello
The leader asked me what my goal was last night and I said 7lbs - she looked a bit suprised (I'm guessing most people give their ultimate goal or at least their 10% goal) but I know that goal setting can often go against me rather than motivate me so I'm trying to be sensible.
Hello and welcome ..... I found that too when I joined on new years eve, the consultant asked me what my goal was.....I said ermm, 7 lbs (this will take me into the next stone bracket) and she looked at me....I felt quite embarrassed and laughed if off...'little steps' I told her (my new favourite saying)!
Glad I'm going to a different group next week!
Good luck on your journey xx
ooh have you gone onto the SW website? there is a 7 day menu plan on there, may help with deciding what to get.

Hello all,
Hi to all the newbies - hope you're enjoying the plan so farand a big well done to all those who have lost, especially over Christmas.
Shellie and Stef - great posts, most of us need a bit of no-nonsense talk now and then! Re using up Christmas food - I didn't buy any but did use it as an excuse to eat some rubbish while at my bro's. Bro and his gf went on holiday on Boxing Day so my mum has been using up all the food at their house. Keep telling her just to chuck it as she's on SW too and admitted she doesn't really want to keep eating it but hates to waste it. Now I know where I get it from!
The one meal at a time thing reminded me of something our consultant put on Facebook - blowing your diet for one bad meal is like dropping your phone then thinking 'I might as well jump on it til it's smashed up' - makes you realise how ludicrous it is!!
Right, drain men have gone for now (not completely sorted but getting there) so going to heat up my soup. EE today:
B: ham and mushroom omelette, milk (a)
L: lentil and bacon soup, satsuma
T: Thai red chicken curry (1), rice
S: 2x hifi light (b), rocky (5.5)2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]
2012: [STRIKE]Start renovating new house (aka open enormous can of worms)[/STRIKE] _pale_
2013: [STRIKE]Lose weight[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]get fit[/STRIKE] and FINISH THE HOUSE!

Good day so far.....cinnamon porridge for brekkie, tuna pasta n sauce with broccoli just cooking for lunch and homemade tom sauce made to add to the minced beef for pasta bolognaise for dinner this evening!
Going to have extra brocolli at lunch time to make up for not wanting any fruit with my brekki!
Just a thought I add a small (250g) pack of minced beef to home made tom sauce made with 1 large onion, 2 tins of chopped toms, 1 large courgette grated, 2 large carrots grated, 1 pack of mushrooms chopped, plus seasoning and a tbsp of olive oil (6 syns).... do you think I will need to add any extra veggies for an EE meal? This will serve about 6 people, usually count as 1 syn per serving as using extra lean minced beef.
xx
(That said I still just "put it in and count it" rather than having 1/3 superfree.:D )
A few people will serve spag bol etc with a side dish of salad. Your consultant will tell you again, this isn't right. I dislike soggy lettuce though.
Naughty smilies... while not quite the same kind of naughty, this one always makes me smile. I so feel for that poor yellow fellow!:EasterBun0
