Can I ask some of you more experienced guys about milk please.
I have tried black coffee today and it isn't going to last I think, but I don't want to always use my HEA on milk. How much is a splash of milk for coffee? I could try measuring it I suppose. About 1 tablespoon do you think, how many syns for semi skimmed?
When I have tried before I have just ignored the milk and used the HEA but want to do is accurately now.
Also can I split the HEA so I have half the milk allowance and half of it in cheese?

    Thanks
    Lin
I have started to use the Alpro soya milk for coffee, as SS milk doesn't cut it I like it creamy. This tastes sweetened too so it's doubly nice. 400ml for a healthy extra

Back to class tomorrow. I've had a tough few weeks with family death & illness and being plain greedy.

    Onwards & downwards from tomorrow.
Sorry to hear you have been having a trying time. Emotional stress is the worst for me and has me raiding everything sweet and savoury. Glad you are still with us though.

Me too ;)... very hard to say no, I've gained 11lb since the beginning of December - birthday season so it's time to stop the excess, reckless scoffing - most of that has been in the last 2 weeks because of the total lack of doing anything! Misled by the early week of eating everything and still losing, it's caught up with me. Though I don't intend to drop great chucks like I did originally. Slowly does it now. :D

Pennylane Cracking stuff! You must be well pleased with yourself.

claire lou - this isn't a diet. It's a lifestyle change. You SEE food for what it is. Energy and approach it completely differently. - That doesn't happen over night. One meal at a time. One day at a time.

Thanks shellie, I completely agree...just finding it hard to get my head in gear! I took the plunge and joined a group and I am ready to go but again life throws itself at me! Thank you for the advice one meal at a time..never thought of it like that!

    Hello fellow slimmers!

Am joining a brand new group on Saturday morning as need to lose 8 stone. Hitting the big "40" in October so want to lose as much weight as possible (and keep it off). Have lost 2 stone in 2 months with Sw before but then got complacent and of course it all went back on and more. So New Year, New Group, New start. I am motivated right now but that doesn't last so I hope you will give me the kick up the jacksey that I know I will need, when I need it. Please do.

Dreading the initial weigh-in on Saturday as I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life (gulp) and am ashamed at how I have let myself get so overweight, but there you go, I can't look back -- only forwards. but as all the members will be new and we are all in the same boat it seems like a good time to start. Wish me strength and willpower.....
  • 8lb on! but I've eaten and drunk my weight in alchohol and chocolate over the last 2 weeks so it's not a surprise really.

was hoping to get my 1.5stone award before my hol in 7 weeks so I need to lose 2lb a week. That should be do-able provided I sign up to boot camp as planned and don't stray off plan. Fingers crossed!

  • hello again everyone!
Well I fell off the wagon before Christmas and yes, you guessed I messed up.
    1 stone 1.5 pounds ON :mad::mad:
Yes, I was greedy, I ate like there was no tomorrow :D but tonight I joined back to slimming world and here I am ready to start my journey once again.
At least this time the damage is not too severe :D
It should hopefully be off within the next month to 6 weeks.
The thing I would like to ask is how do I work out my club 10?
I cannot for the life of me remember!
I have been on the wii again tonight and aim to do a full hour each day to kick start my butt back into shape. :rotfl:

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!

Hi there, hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year? Well done for biting the bullet and getting back to it! I'm borrowing my sisters wii....hoping it will help me get back into shape, although unable to exercise at the moment but when I can, no one will be able to stop me!
At the risk of sounding silly .... presume your club 10 is 10% of your weight? if you convert your weight stones x 14 plus the lbs and take 10% of that weight that will give you 10% i.e 15 stone 1lb would be 15 x 14 plus 1 = 211lb x 10% = 21.1lbs (divid by 14 is 1.5 stone)...hope this helps and this is what you were wanting - sorry if not)!
    xx

  • Only a quick look in today as back at work (yukky yuk) - quick question? I do a fair amount of exercise, I try and do 3 gym sessions a week with free weights and some cardio to warm up and cool down, try and walk hounds every day even if it is just 10 mins and want to try and fit in a longer walk at the weekends.
Does this sound good? too much? not enough?

enjoy tomorrow everyone - oh and I do many frittattas to take to work for dinners. Lovely!
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p
