It used to work really well for me when worked on 105 for the week - but the consultant yesterday didnt give me much info....oh well I think I will stick to what worked before ..... well ...... need to now ..... buffet was delicious, but just looked and some of the things I thought were free are actually quite high......yikes with the ones I'd counted I've had 69 today grrrr ;-) xx but oh well still within my weekly total! xx
If it worked for you before then I don't see why not now. I used to limit my syns during the week (no more than 5) but then have more at the weekend (But still within my weekly syn limit). This is something I might look at again because I always want a treat at the weekend :T I also used to flexi syn and have *unlimited syns* (eg if I was going out for a meal) but would then be back on plan the next day. I suppose as long as you are not flexi synning every day then its fine to approach spending your syns this way. Did you consultant give you a syn allowance. I think we are meant to keep our syns to no more than 10 a day now - I think so that if we miscount somewhere, we have a buffer of 5 syns to play with.Well done to you for joining.
I also wish SW would do a forum or chat ... anyone know why they don't?0 -
Know what you mean! We have one of those gadgets which rotates pics and normally I don't pay much attention but we've been sprawling about over Xmas and pics of me keep coming round. I look MASSIVE on just about all the holiday pics from the last few years. Like you, I didn't realise how big I'd got.
Thing is on hols I wear sort of vest tops etc and they honestly don't do me any favours ... I think only the most slender women can wear those and look good. They show up all lumps & bumps.
All the pics that have been taken of me recently look awful. but coming across pics of when I had lost the weight with sw previously are worse because I'm reminded of how well I did and how much weight I've put back on0 -
ive got dh to take photos in my underwear and he has taken one later and you would not beleive the difference. its such a good thing to do as sometimes i think your shape can change and maybe the scales dont move so much. IYKWIM.
im too back on sw. ive done it over christmas but have had one day off and had 30 syns each day for ten days. all controlled but lots of goodies. on my day off - xmas day i didnt eat loads and i had 122 syns. its soooo easy to eat loads.
ive put on about 5 pounds and will easily get that off in the next two to three weeks.
this is a fab forum. it shows we all have ups and downs.
to the lady ( i assume) that said she went out of her area to go to class as she was embarrased. EVERYONE will look at you and go GOOD ON YOU. never feel embarrased. your doing a good thing by going to sw. be proud.
happy new year all. heres to some good losses
Well done on making it work over christmas!
I am a lady (but not in the sense of little britain)!.... thank you for your support, I am just so ashamed of letting myself get to this point! I have 125lb to lose to goal! maybe when I have under 100 I'll proove to myself I can do it and move to a group in the town where I live...just so scared of letting myself down and not continuing...!
Just putting a menu together for the rest of this week! plan plan plan.....

Claire lou ~ I would say it might not make it so daunting if you break your losses into 1/2 stone blocks.
You can do this
I would take the :rotfl: smillies out of your signature too.

Thanks for your super free responses maman and stef
I return to the group tomorrow after 8/9 months away. I started off well today with a cooked breakfast, with lots of tomatoes, no bread.
But... The house is full of xmas foods/crisps/chocolate. As I wasn't planning to do sw now. So I've over done it on crisps and choc. I'm hoping that being back in group will motivate me.
But did go on a long walk today :jDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Fantastic loss in a year! Well done to your buddie!

Thanks Flat Eric I will give it a go and if it doesnt work I'll re look! Yes the consultant said for me between 10 - 15 per day, prob cause I weigh so much! Think I'll start big and reduce as I go along (excuse the pun)! ;-) Thanks for all your advise, really appreciated :T xxWk 120 weeks till my hols....little steps, 7lb goals....lets see where it takes me! I had a very tasty day back in the saddle today. I went for an original day and have had:
2 egg omelette with cheese and bacon, served with beans
Home made carrot and coriander soup with Wensleydale crumbled into it, served with crackerbreads
Home made game tikka makhani
Lots of hot vim to (in lieu of wine!)
Used 14.5 syns - honey and double elmlea in the makhani, and 4.5 for the Wensleydale
2 healthy extra As - cheese in the omelette and as milk
1 healthy extra B - cracker reads. Allowed 2 on original but I don't have anything else in.
Quite happy with that!
Made the curry with two packs of Gressingham mixed diced game that I got cheap in Waitrose and which have been languishing in the freezer.
Made the soup with leftover Christmas veg that Mum sent me home with.
Omelettes are going to be a big part of my SW future I think!January Grocery Challenge £80 / £80 - Jan 1st to 31st NSDs: Jan 04/10

My house was also full of choc and stuff....which I know would be horribly tempting, so I've sent DH to work with it, he works in a big office and they can clear a big box of chocs in seconds. :rotfl:
I've kept the kids chocs and sweets but am letting them eat them much more quickly then I normally would so they are gone sooner.Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -
