Can I join
Meeting tonight after work, managed to lose 3lbs over the weekend (was in Vegas) so was walking up to 10 miles a day, the little weight loss has spurred me on.
I have 9 stone (yes thats right) to lose. I lost a stone on WW but it is too restrictive for me meat wise, I LOVE my meat and fish and it's so high in points on WW.
Looking forward to joining you all, not got a clue what I am doing lol0 -

Happy New Year losers! :rotfl:
Hope you all had a fab xmas. Just been reading the new thread (thanks FE) and seems like everyone was well in control over the festive period, well done! My class was moved to Sunday for the last 2 weeks - 23rd I lost 0.5lb, which I was made up about as had work meal and drinks but was careful. WI on 30th I gained 5lb which I'm fine with - intended to be good over the holidays as didn't buy any xmas food but spent most of the week at my brother's (house stuffed with junk food) with my parents, ferrying them around, taking my dad to the walk in centre and the hospital, trying to sort out a collapsed drain at home etc etc. All excuses of course but the crux of it was I made a conscious decision to have the week off, enjoyed it and am happy to accept the consequences. Back on it today and WI is back to Mon so have 6 days to undo as much damage as possible- I WILL get to goal this year!As lovely as all the Christmas food was, doesn't it leave you feeling disgusting? I just feel so bloated and revolting, sticking to plan leaves me feeling amazing compared to this!
Couldn't agree more- am so ready to be back on this!
Meant to be back in work today but the drain saga has dragged on (won't bore you all with it but cellar has flooded and trying to get to the bottom of it), so now got a man with a pneumatic drill digging up our drive and garden in the pouring rain  so am working from home. Luckily haven't got much to do as had to ring around places about various things and get regular updates from the drain men - now the smell of sewage is coming up through the living room floorboards so may not want any lunch after this *retch* Will go and make some soup in a bit though - one advantage to being at home!
EE today:
B: Bran flakes (B), milk (A), banana
L: Lentil and bacon soup, 2 satsumas
T: Thai chicken curry and rice (1)
S: Freddo (5), pitta (6)
Have a good day folks!2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Well done to you for joining.
I also wish SW would do a forum or chat ... anyone know why they don't?
Personally I prefer this forum as it's independent of SW so you can discuss whatever you like. We've often had discussions which can be critical of SW (like variable quality of consultants etc) so maybe that's why they don't encourage one.claire_lou wrote: »Is it ok to presume that I can still use flexible syns? It used to work really well for me when worked on 105 for the week - but the consultant yesterday didnt give me much info....
I've always done that both while getting to target and since. I choose to eat almost syn free all the week and save my syns for weekends. That motivates me by giving me something to look forward to. It's surprisingly easy to eat syn free.0 -
Run_Rabbit wrote: »I had a very tasty day back in the saddle today. I went for an original day and have had:
2 egg omelette with cheese and bacon, served with beans
Home made carrot and coriander soup with Wensleydale crumbled into it, served with crackerbreads
Home made game tikka makhani
Lots of hot vim to (in lieu of wine!)
Used 14.5 syns - honey and double elmlea in the makhani, and 4.5 for the Wensleydale
2 healthy extra As - cheese in the omelette and as milk
1 healthy extra B - cracker reads. Allowed 2 on original but I don't have anything else in.
Quite happy with that!
Omelettes are going to be a big part of my SW future I think!
I will need to check but I think beans are only free on a green day so if eating on a red day, you will need to syn them.
also. when I used to do red and green, on the green plan (only) you can use one or both of your Healthy Extra B Options for cheese. Worth bearing in mind if you like lots of cheese. I will check what it says in the new pack. Don't have it yet
Omelettes are fab. I'm thinking of making them my breakfast at the weekend. The amount of superfree that can be added is so varied. I have known other members to let their omelettes go cold and then use the omelette instead of bread to make a sandwich. I imagine you could also make a sweet omelette and served it with fresh fruit and a low syn / syn free yogurt.0 -

To work out the syn value in your fool you would need to get syns for each component and then divide it between how many portions made/eaten.
51 gms lamb 1tbs mint sauce 2syns. Couldn't work out for my fool.
it was 1 light digestive biscuit.2 egg whites 2tbsp elmlea double cream 1 tsp splenda. and 3 manderin orange segments.
I had ee today
Porridge A B. Coffee fruit
Lentil and bacon soup. beans and tomatoes with beetroot
coffee Apple
chicken potatoes carrots green beans and peas
coffee fruit. plus fruit for snacks. Thanks for checking0 -

I respect SW and all it stands for but I do get the impression that they are very regimented in how they like things done. I for one sometimes wonder whether the weekly image therapy stuff is really necessary. The whole go round the room/the clap clap bit. Its great but week in, week out, it wears a bit thin. I think this depends on your consultant though because our consultant now -well her classes are never boring and I don't end up switching off :rotfl: I say i get bored of the image therapy although Idon't know what else I would like to happen at class if we didn't have it!
I think the sw consultants have a forum but there isn't one for the members. shame but do agree with your thoughts maman.0 -
WI tonight - sneaky weigh in the chemists this morning suggests that I may again have managed to maintain again, but that all depends on how far out from the SW scales those ones are. I have decided that once I get to target I will attend group every other week/once a month and will stick keep tabs on my weight using the scales in the chemist
Could do with a giant kick in the behind to get back on track. Been to town and ASDA today and picked up a few bits - bread, squash, veggies mostly and now I think I'm prepared to get back to it. Will be doing HM pizza this weekend and all other meals will be SW friendly. Just snacks to get a handle on************************************

Can I ask some of you more experienced guys about milk please.
I have tried black coffee today and it isn't going to last I think, but I don't want to always use my HEA on milk. How much is a splash of milk for coffee? I could try measuring it I suppose. About 1 tablespoon do you think, how many syns for semi skimmed?
When I have tried before I have just ignored the milk and used the HEA but want to do is accurately now.
Also can I split the HEA so I have half the milk allowance and half of it in cheese?
Thanks
