Never noticed before that there is spicy tomato, tomato and tomato & herb, will have to check what I'm having. Possibly the plain tomato (1 syn) is the home bargains one? Although saying that I went in HB yesterday and got some and they were all the 'proper' ones. Didn't have any tomato so got a couple of tikka ones that OH and I had for lunch - first time trying and it was nice, although a little strange with pasta!

  • Good morning all

Well I wasn't tempted at all by the Chinese last night, stuck to my chicken stew and diet lemonade. One hurdle over, but now we have Pancake Day today and Valentines on Thursday.

I'll have to have a pancake tonight with the kids. Especially as I'm the cook :D

I'm having Thursday night off SW for Valentines. Have bought my wife's favourite, fillet steak ( which I know is fine for SW) but the choc cake I've baked for dessert and pink champagne isn't so SW friendly :o

Just as well my WI is Thursday morning. Though at the moment I seem to be 1lb heavier than last Thursday :(

    B. muller light vanilla yog with summer fruits.
    L. Chicken with salad leaves and tomatoes.
    D. Pancake with lemon juice and Canestan.

    Morning folks,

Well done to the losers! Am pleased to say I lost another 1.5 last night, which, as my leader informed me, is a total 4st 9.5lb in 44 weeks (didn't realise I'd been going that long!). I worked out the other day that if I want to get to (a rather arbitrary - picked because would be 100lb lost) target before the beginning of September, ready for a wedding in France then hols, I need to lose about 1.5 a week. It's doable

Won't be having pancakes tonight in the Blodwen household - I like them but can't be bothered faffing about. Have had the oat ones once for breakfast before and they were ok but weren't really like proper pancakes, more scotch pancakes as thick and doughy. Filling though!

    :)

Definitely a doable target Blodwen and :T on your loss.

These pancakes were being discussed in group last week:

    You need....

    1 Egg
    6 tbsps of sweetnener (I checked:eek:)
1 tsp of vanilla essence of vanilla essence

Separate the white from the yolk and put into separate bowls, Whisk the egg white and 3 tbsps of sweetner until peaks.
In the other bowl add the vanilla essence, the rest of sweetener to the yolk then fold the yolk mixture into the egg white mixture.
Heat a frying pan with frylight, add the mix and spread as you would a normal pancake ( two out of this recipe) after a few mins flip over.

I've not tried them myself but obviously not the oat ones.

nessie, have great sympathy for how you're feeling but it'll pass. I carried my DD as a breech for the whole 9 months and felt constantly queasy as her head was pressing on my stomach (:osorry if TMI). Actually lost weight in myself as I ate so little. Just keep on trying to eat as healthily as possible and perhaps little and often rather than the usual three meals a day. And try not to let your mum upset you, just nod and walk away!

    Thanks,

I am going to Asda at lunchtime to get the stuff for mustard chicken & bacon bake to put in the slow cooker in the morning, i am going to try and find some plain crackers & i might start making popcorn from scratch again

I am trying not to act ill at the moment as no-one at work knows yet - they haven't mentioned anything about my lack of coffee yet but not sure how long it will last :o

It's easier said than done with my mum - i think she is scared she will lose me as her & my nana aren't on great terms & mum knows what it's like to not see me for months on end as she moved to Spain in 2005 and only came back 3 or 4 years ago

    Hi All,

Here's my EE menu for the day:

B: Banana and mullerlight yogurt (1.5 syns as it was the one with the cherry underlayer)

L: Homemade vegetable and lentil soup, 3 triangles of laughing cow light (HEA) and 6 Ryvita wholegrain crackerbreads (HEB)

    S: Melon, grapes, apple

D: Chilli con carne (2 syns for packet mix), potato and vegetables.

I'm debating whether or not to have pancakes. I'd have two of the aunt bessie's frozen pancakes (because I'm lazy lol) which are 4.5 syns each with some sweetner and lemon. So that will be 12.5 syns for the day which is fine but I weigh in tomorrow evening so that's why I'm a bit reluctant.
