Thanks fannyanna. What does anyone else think?

I'm a big fan of Jillian Michaels too and have the 30 day shred (although I haven't done it or any exercise DVDs for ages...) It is hard, but has 3 different levels and is just 20 mins, so really easy to fit into most people's days. You do 3 lots of 3 mins strength, 2 mins cardio and 1 min abs.

    Good luck x

mymamma - sorry if this has already been discussed but have you thought about the 30 day shred exercise DVD. I've never actually tried it but I've heard a lot of people rave about it.

I have it, a lot of us on here last year were doing it, I am just plucking the courage up to start it again, I did feel more toned but cannot say whether it helped my weight loss, I did notice my shape changing. I never actually got to do the full the 30 days :rotfl:I went as far as level 2.

If there are enough up for it, why dont we agree a date to start, taking measurements of thighs waist etc (don't need to post, just as a personal record) and we could start at level 1 then up to level 2 for 10 days then level 3 for the final 10 days?

I like the idea of this. I own the DVD but it's still in the wrapper that it came in. About time I actually used it :D

Mine lay a long time as well but yes, want to tone & shape up a bit more, I didn't take measurements last time so it will be interesting too see, I got up 30 minutes earlier in the morning and done before work or else I was too tired at night but it would be good motivation! You do these on it too

On an exercise note i used the wii fit in an attempt to lose weight for my wedding in 2009. I honestly didn't think a bit of messing around with an invisible hula hoop would make a blind bit of notice till i went for my final fitting and the woman in the bridal shop said i had lost inches around my waist making the dress too big :o
So after following SW since July 2012 and hardly doing any body magic, as in sod all i thought new year time to start really doing something about it. So now i use the free step and hula hoops while the tv is on and get on with it so apart from a bit of a sweat on i really dont realise what im doing. I calculated that during a Jeremy Kyle :o show i had stepped the equivalent of 2.5 miles:eek:
Throw in 10/20 mins of hula hooping and you arent really noticing that you are exercising. Just got to wait and see if last weeks loss was a fluke or if tonight will be another loss.

Hello - I'm back for checking....not had a good day - well not a bad one but finished up not having any breakfast because I was driving and didn;t get into office until 11.10 and it seemed a bit late for porridge !

So - L - SW Tomato Soup, New Potatoes, Cottage Cheese and loads of salad, muller light
    S- Apple/ Banana

Syns - for the first time chocolate .... freddo (5 syns) and curly wurly (6 I think ?)

D - new potatoes, carrots and swede and SW meatloaf.

Just realised that not having breakfast means that I have a B....I could have had Alpen light instead of the choccy !

So, that means with bits and bats of syns used that I have 91 1/2 left for an indian meal and wine tomorrow......I think that should me more than enough (hopefully) Planning on a Chicken Dhansac, a poppadom and a bit of dips, My only problem is that as a family we order a couple of bowls of egg fried rice and about 4 naans between us. I'll have to ask for boiled and hope that nobody pulls a face.

  • Thank you for all your kind words and support.

I bought the latest SW mag in group today to cheer myself up ( LOL what a saddo) and I noted the ad for EQUATOR beer flavoured drink. With no alcohol, no sugar, no calories, no syns then I wonder what it tastes like? Anybody tried it please ?

only one person I know has tried it as she hated it but her OH loved it and thought it was grand (didn't read the no alcohol, no calorie bit haha!)

Pretty sure I've put on a minimum of the 2lb I lost last week. Will hopefully find out at the weekend if I get chance to pop in to town and back :)

Can't really afford to lose much more without looking too bony/thin in my opinion (and that of umpteen others haha)

Had hoped work would make it easier to maintain but with all the morning events I have to go to I think it might be a bit of a battle on event days as we are supposed to eat the breakfast provided with the members! So sausage/bacon half sandwiches (although today it was on wholemeal it wasn't at another one) and pastries! grrr need to find a healthy balance I think

Maman, we have a fridge at work and a microwave+kettle. I get an hour for lunch so plenty of time although I have been taking quick bites in, eating them at my desk then using the hour for a walk (not that its possible to even run to the loo sometimes atm haha!) I could cut it down and just do a 30min walk if i could get in to the habit of prepping decent food! :)
