Afternoon all,
TIE - sorry to hear your sad news.
LondonDreamer - well done on the NSV, it must be really noticeable now if you're getting all these comments!
Wizkid - I alternate EE and green as don't tend to eat much meat. You can have 1 or 2 of each of HEA and HEB, up to you. I used to do about 3 green a week but gone down to about 1 a week atm as it means less cheese and bread (which tbh I would carry on eating given half the chance) and also EE ensures I get tons of superfree. I like green now and again though if i want something like egg, chips and beans with bread as don't have to worry about veg
EE today:
B: Porridge (B), milk (A), yogurt (2), banana
L: Pasta, pesto (1), roast veg, cheese (2), ham, satsuma
T: Thai chicken curry (1), rice
S: Yogurt (1), Penguin (6)2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

I think it is all trial and error to see what works for each one of us personally. For myself i were stuck in a rut for the past 5 weeks and nothing shifting so listened to consultant when she looked over my food diaries, cut back fruit up the veg, reduce the amount of red meat and up white meat and fish, drink more not just tea/coffee. And by doing this for a week i lost 2lb, not a lot but enough to have me thinking i might be back on the roll again.
My mamma Well Done on loss and most importantly keeping it off and persistance for keeping on going. I am no expert but here is my view for what it is worth.
I would also want weight loss to be bigger and I am very impressed at your determination to keep going.
Please try and drink more as I hear those that drink lots of water do best.
Try going back to basics as make sure you are measuring everything you should and writing everything down.
Watch your portion size, although lots of foods are free they mostly have callories in them so you need to be sensible. I make sure I weigh a portion of rice / pasta etc to remind myself what a 'normal' portion should be.
You said that you don't get very hungry so it might be worth considering if you could reduce portions gradually.
The official rules are that you should use your syns daily, and although a weekly allowance works for some it doesn't always so maybe you should try to go back to that, if might be harder but you might have to make the extra effort to loose more, even if you have the odd day when syns go over and some where you have less.
Have you tried green and red days? Personally I prefer EE but some days when I know I am not having much meat I have a green day and I think it helps.
If you have been doing it for a long time have you got up to date directories and lists of Healthy Extras? I know that some of us think they update regularly to sell more books etc but pack sizes etc do change as do ingredients and the plan changes slightly all the time.
Read the books again and post your meals and just be a little bit mindfull it might make all the difference.
My last piece of advice is do more exercise whenever you can. Walk, use a bike if you can and if at all possible use some weights muscles burn calories and look toned so they increase your metabolic rate and make you smaller. I swear by my DVD's (I always read reveiws on Amazon and get ones with a short -20 to 30 min routine - as well as a long one) I also love yoga and pilates if you aren't the jumping about type. If you are a member of a library you can get exercise Dvds to try out (some are very annoying) and i have ordered from Love film before to try out before you commit.
I hope this helps.
Good luck.
STS this week, lost 0.5 lb in January:(
So this is the plan:
For the next week I'll try to:
Success Express every day
Use all my syns
Less fruit, more veg
Have 6 cups of water a day, as well as tea and coffee
Reduce amount of rice, pasta and potatoes- how much is a normal portion?
I go to group so my books etc are up to date and I do weigh what needs weighing ifkwim so I'll keep doing that
Get back into Body Magic, I blame this horrible weather, cos I usually go for walks but just haven't felt like it. Will have a look for some MSE DVDs:)
And posting my menus on here!
Wow, that looks like a plan, and I feel so much better for just having thought through what I'm doing.
Wish me luck!

Mymama - Good luck. Most rice and pasta packs have a reccomended amount for a portion.
My Fella always cooks too much rice ( I think becasue it looks a small amount before you cook it) so now I always weigh out enough for 2 servings before we cook it.0 -

I could never estimate rice and pasta so always weigh it as, like you say linscam, it looks like a tiny amount when dry! I do 60-80g dry weight, which is probably about half of what I used to have before SW  but find it's plenty now as have plenty of veg etc to bulk it out. I do about half of that if it's for lunch.

That seems a good plan mymamma. I just wanted to say that some people in my group have tried following Success Express in the leaflet but given up because it's too much food to cope with. That's probably because snacks were on the sample menu as well as meals and they followed it to the letter. I think what really matters is that you have two thirds superfree which will automatically make you reduce your carbs proportionately. You're aiming high at doing SE every day but good luck!
On the water drinking: I've heard two tips. One was to have a cup on the hour every hour, the other to keep a cup by the sink to remind you when you go to use the tap. Personally I've been drinking hot NAS Ribena lately, especially in the evening to cut the caffeine.0 -
Happy wednesday everyone I hope you are all doing well
