Hi can someone advise me. if I am doing a green day can I just have 1A ans 1B instead of 2As and 2Bs
I have been doing ex E and today I had a green day and just had one of each. Can I also do ex E without having meat at all meals, i.e vegetarian.
    Thanks

There isn't really any point doing EE if you aren't eating meat.... my friend is a veggie and her consultant just said you are better off doing green days.

Well today has been a very sombre day at work as our work colleagues husband passed away yesterday :(. He was moved into a hospice at the weekend so it came as a very big shock that he passed so quickly. Can't say any more as too emotional

    Sending a hug x

The chowder is just a thick soup- I threw in whatever I (or rather my mum) had in the fridge! This one has a cauli, 2 leeks, 1 onion, 2 potatoes, half a big tin of sweetcorn and 2 pints chicken stock cooked and blended up. Rest of sweetcorn and shredded thick ham (more like gammon really) was added in at the end - made 6 portions. Very tasty, even if I do say so myself, and a change from the tomato and carrot based soups I always seem to do but get sick of easily :)

That sounds like a delicious soup, must try that.

I am not doing that great, keep cheating with bread products (ie teacakes and white toast) don't know why I do it, since there are so many things I am allowed to eat, maybe still in WW mode, could use points on anything you wanted. Evenings are so my downfall, I have tried keeping my HEB for evening time and had ryvita's with smoked salmon and cucumber, a mini magnum etc, but so want the other stuff too. I need to try better. I have paid for 3 months online and going to stick to it! Talk some sense into me please!:wall:

Oh I'm not a veggie but there are days when I'm having a meal that doesn't contain meat or fish. Should I just make it a Green day then?

Yep, with the extra As & Bs I guess you are getting extra vits and nutrients that you need. Plus you might as well have them if you can!

It's just that if you're not having meat then I can't think of anything that would make it an EE day rather than Green and most people are glad of the extra HEXs.

To answer your other question then it's not essential to have HEXs but they're in the plan because they're healthy so we should eat them. I'm sure the odd day won't matter though.

Thanks for the link mich. It seems it's OK to save syns provided you have the willpower!

Sorry to hear the sad news tie and so sudden at the end.

Tie So sorry things went very quickly for your friend at least the pain and suffering can be laid to rest now. Remember to look after yourself no matter how hard it seems at the time.

Wizkid there are several days in the food optimising book that show meat free days that are still on EE, so providing you aren't doing too many green days in a week you should be fine.

Mich thanks for the link, had a read through then posted it on consultants page to see if it stirs anything up seeing as alot of the things mentioned on there are what are advocated in group :D

Just realised i hadn't posted a meal plan for today :o So EE it is

B, porridge made with water, banana
    L, tuna salad
    Snack mugshot and grapes
T, chicken, broccoli and chickpea pilaf with extra onion and carrots.
Dessert, M&S raspberry pana cotta yogurt with a meringue nest (2.5) Maybe a drifter later.
:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Lost 3st 5lb with Slimming world so far!!
  • Had my second "have you lost weight?" question in as many days. I also catch my reflection in the mirror and realised I now look "normal" - still overweight, but definitely out of plus size territory. Good start to the week! :D

    Menu today...
Breakfast - Porridge (HEB) and berries. Sometimes feel like I should vary this!
Lunch - Tuna niçoise salad, without the olives or dressing (don't like either) so free
Snack - Apple and lactofree cheese (HEA)
Dinner - Chargrilled chicken (4) with sprouts (my current obsession) and some of whatever veg I decide to serve sprout-hating DH.
Pudding - Trying out the new strawberry greek mullerlight (0.5). Body is tolerating the lemon ones fine so far which makes me happy because I LOVE them, especially for half a syn. :p

Hmm, struggling to use the syns up today but haven't been very hungry. Feeling quite bloated from the pizza yesterday, body isn't used to it! Not that worried, sure I'll be back to normal soon.

The comments on that page are from late 2011, would be good to know if its all still the same with how they make small changes to the plan..

Our group consultant has never mentioned tweaks, only briefly talked about image therapy + body magic.. the group is chokka after christmas so its a mad dash to go round everyone... especially with the wafflers in the group!

Hopefully it will calm down a little soon!

Sorry to hear your news TIE :(
