    Hi everyone,
After STS on my very first weigh in I'm going to post my menus. Think I'm doing OK today but please let me know if I'm not...

    Breakfast
35g porridge (B) with water. Sliced banana and blueberries with it (fruit not cooked)
    S- Apple
Lunch - Frozen jacket potato, a whole tin of tuna mixed with low fat yoghurt, lemon juice, onions and black pepper, With a salad of mixed leaves, peppers, cucumber, celery and pickled onions. And a Muller Light (absolutely stuffed - have I had too much ??)
Tea - going to have Actifry chips, doner kebab from the SW recipe, more salad and a garlic dip made with Extra Low Hellmans and low fat yoghurt (made it with 1 tbsp and it has lasted 2 days, do you count quarter points ?). And probably another Muller light.

Trying not to have any/too many syns as going for meal on Friday so am trying to save some.

I think that posting this might just help to keep me on the straight and narrow. Please let me know if I do anything wrong

    Thanks
    Kath

PS - so far I have had 2 cups of coffee (with my A milk) one diet coke and a pint of water....more water later. I might not be drinking enough during the day..
The jacket potatoes you are using are they ones you have previously cooked and frozen or are you ising McCain ones? McCain ones are 1 syn each.
Is it low fat or fat free yogurt you are using, again this makes all the difference to the syn values, only fat free natural yogurts are free for the purpose you are requiring.
As for the rest of your meal plan it looks great and well on pare for a successful week!

Have you tried success express or upping your syns?

Hi there, yes I've done SE in the past although can usually only manage a couple of days. I was worried about relying on it now, when I've still got so far to go, will this have to permanent? And I do have more syns if I've got a meal out, but again I guess my brain is thinking that my weight loss will come to a complete halt if I have 105 syns a week!
Lost 38.5 lb with SW so far, 56LB to go!:A

A stand in consultant we had for about a month lost 12.5 stone in total but 9 stone of that was within one year. In group she openly admitted she maxed her syns every week and followed SE possibly 3 days a week maybe more oh and swore by scan bran:eek:
I think it is all trial and error to see what works for each one of us personally. For myself i were stuck in a rut for the past 5 weeks and nothing shifting so listened to consultant when she looked over my food diaries, cut back fruit up the veg, reduce the amount of red meat and up white meat and fish, drink more not just tea/coffee. And by doing this for a week i lost 2lb, not a lot but enough to have me thinking i might be back on the roll again.

I didn't know that about the McCain ones....one syn added to diary. Thanks for letting me know... Just been to the fridge and it is a fat free yoghurt so Ok with that.

Just shows, I do need to be checked. Thanks very much. Will be back tomorrow:j

Am guessing you use frylight or nothing for actifry? If using oil then also need to add syns. Maybe round up 1/4 syns to 1/2 so you never underestimate? :)

Frylight in actifry - not quite as nice as oil but not too bad

    Hello,

Managed to survive 2 night shifts without hitting the toast and butter. Had 25g Jordans Country Crisp with Raspberries (5.5 syns), blueberries, raspberries and fat free natural yoghurt instead - delicious and one of my new favourite snacks. Have also discovered mini meringues (1 syn each) with berries and yoghurt - tastes like Eton Mess :D.

    Menu for yesterday was:

Breakfast - Poached egg on 2 x wholemeal toast (HEB), Clover (1.5 syns)

Slept most of the day because of nights so had no lunch.

    3 x cocktail sausages (3 syns)

Dinner - Cowboy Boy (from SW mag) with grated cheese on top (HEA)
Mini Meringues x 2 (2 syns), Raspberries, Blueberries and Fat Free Natural Yoghurt

Night Time - Jordans Country Crisp, raspberries, blueberries and fat free natural yoghurt (5.5 syns)

    Total syns - 12 :)

I don't know the ingredients of the Cowboy Boy (might have loads of SFs) but the menu looks a bit short on SFs to be a third of your day's intake. As you were asleep then the amount of food is only to be expected and you did squeeze in 3 lots of eating.:)

    Hi all

    A choice milk
    B CHOICE 2ryvita 1 wm bread

    B 2 boiled eggs 1 apple

    L Mugshot
    Apple
    2 ryvita crackerbread from b

    D butterbean cassoulet veg
    Toffee mullerlight
    Greek yoghurt

Need to have more super free so later I am going to have 1slice of wholemeal bread from small hovis loaf( the rest of my b choice) and sliced tomatoes on it, need some more veg I think but can't work out what to have, disorganised day, went out for a walk with a friend and just had a coffee, watched her eat cake, didn't weaken at all.
  • Evening all :)

First day went really well. Ate lunch at my desk - naughty I know but then used my lunch hour to go for a walk around town at a moderate pace! Loved that - chance to explore the centre as I haven't really spent much time there, got a treat for bf and some options hot choc sachets to keep in my desk :)

Dinner tonight was luuuuush, I shared a choc fudge cake with bf for desert (which means I got one tier out of the four in the slice! haha) and good thing we shared as neither could have managed a whole desert each.

Tomorrow I'm getting picked up by a colleague at 7.30am :eek as we have to attend an event the other side of Huddersfield. Breakfast is included (tea/coffee and bacon/sausage sandwiches) but will behave.

Lunch will be a cheese (from HeA) and ham sandwich (HeB), jelly (0.5syn), satsuma, banana. Was starving today after lunch so I'm thinking a hot choc (2syn) or cup of tea and a pink and white (2.5syn)

Tea will be grilled chicken, rice and veg sauce (5.5syn)

So 8.5/9 plus the syns from half a small sausage or bacon sandwich (that's how they are getting served at the event)

Will take satsumas and bananas to stop me from being too tempted at the breakfast haha
