    Hi All

Was busy all weekend, had tiny bit of haggis neeps & tatties for DS's Burns Breakfast on Friday, not sure if haggis is free & potatoes tasted buttery (about a tbsp each) so not sure what to syn them as, also went for a long overdue lunch with my friend and had highlander chicken & chips & we got through 2 bottles wine :o. However, I had prepared Chicken Tikka& put in fridge to marianate overnight, cooked on skewers saturday morning & cooked a batch of SW pakora with pink sauce (knew i would have the munchies when I came in) Was good all day yesterday & don't plan to use any syns until WI on wed as I have no idea what to syn the chicken dish as.

    Todays EE Menu

    B - Pineapple & nat yoghurt
L - Salad, SW quiche, (hea) pineapple, satsuma
D - Spicy mince, beans & rice, Broccoli
    S - Toffee muller & banana
    HeB - 2 alpen lights

RFD - Sorry to hear of your sad news, fingers crossed the op goes ok xxx

  • Good afternoon everyone, hope your all well.

It was my second weigh in today & i've lost 3 lb 6 oz's. :j

I was thinking of joining a group but think i'll carry on doing it myself until I start struggling more after all it's saving me £5 a week. :money:

I forgot to post my food diary yesterday so here goes.

    Breakfast - 3 bacon. 1 wholemeal toast from 400 g loaf (3 syns), 2 poached eggs, 1/2 tin beans, 1 apple & 1 satsuma.
Dinner - 3 pork chops, actifry roast potatoes using frylight, carrots, broccoli, peas & gravy (3 syns)
    IMG_2661_zps885bbdcb.jpg
Dessert - Banana split made with frozen Muller Fat Free yoghurt (0.5 syns) & mixed berries.
Snacks 2 Alpen Light bars (HEB) Milk for tea )HEA), 2 jumbo Snack A Jacks (5 syns)

I'm making Chicken Curry for dinner tonight & wondered how you work out syns for things not listed. 1/2 tin of Tesco Value Chicken soup is 85kcal how many syns do you think that would be? If it's too many i'll use tinned tomatoes instead.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Well done on your fab loss!!!!! :T:j:T:j

Approximately 20 calories is 1 syn if that helps, so your soup would be 4. Most times I just googly my syns, I am not a group member either & don't like to annoy people here asking all the time for syn values, minimins is a good one for syns as well

  • Hello,

Managed to survive 2 night shifts without hitting the toast and butter. Had 25g Jordans Country Crisp with Raspberries (5.5 syns), blueberries, raspberries and fat free natural yoghurt instead - delicious and one of my new favourite snacks. Have also discovered mini meringues (1 syn each) with berries and yoghurt - tastes like Eton Mess :D.

    Menu for yesterday was:

Breakfast - Poached egg on 2 x wholemeal toast (HEB), Clover (1.5 syns)

Slept most of the day because of nights so had no lunch.

    3 x cocktail sausages (3 syns)

Dinner - Cowboy Boy (from SW mag) with grated cheese on top (HEA)
Mini Meringues x 2 (2 syns), Raspberries, Blueberries and Fat Free Natural Yoghurt

Night Time - Jordans Country Crisp, raspberries, blueberries and fat free natural yoghurt (5.5 syns)

    Total syns - 12 :)

    Hi everyone,
After STS on my very first weigh in I'm going to post my menus. Think I'm doing OK today but please let me know if I'm not...

    Breakfast
35g porridge (B) with water. Sliced banana and blueberries with it (fruit not cooked)
    S- Apple
Lunch - Frozen jacket potato, a whole tin of tuna mixed with low fat yoghurt, lemon juice, onions and black pepper, With a salad of mixed leaves, peppers, cucumber, celery and pickled onions. And a Muller Light (absolutely stuffed - have I had too much ??)
Tea - going to have Actifry chips, doner kebab from the SW recipe, more salad and a garlic dip made with Extra Low Hellmans and low fat yoghurt (made it with 1 tbsp and it has lasted 2 days, do you count quarter points ?). And probably another Muller light.

Trying not to have any/too many syns as going for meal on Friday so am trying to save some.

I think that posting this might just help to keep me on the straight and narrow. Please let me know if I do anything wrong

    Thanks
    Kath

PS - so far I have had 2 cups of coffee (with my A milk) one diet coke and a pint of water....more water later. I might not be drinking enough during the day..

Posted on facebook not long ago for those not going to group but wanting to get the books cheap. Or put off joining but the fee was too high.

If you or someone you know are thinking about joining (or rejoining) Slimming World, why not pick up a copy of this week’s Bella Magazine (on sale tomorrow, Tuesday February 5th) and get a voucher for Free Membership to any Slimming World group (saving £10/€18).

There's also a chance to save £35/€40 when you join Slimming World Online too. Both offers are valid until Monday, February 18th but don't forget to pick up your copy of Bella before or on Monday, February 11th.

Words of wisdom and encouragement needed!
I've been doing SW for just over 18 months and have lost nearly 3 stone. Yay me, that's the most I've lost on any diet ever and kept it off. BUT I still have another 4 stone to lose! I really don't know if I can keep going for another 3 and a half years to get to target, so suggestions please for speeding up just a little?
I do EE, and stick to plan pretty much. I use about 60 syns a week, have loads of F and SF. I'm finding that I really don't feel that hungry lots of the time, and it seems wrong to eat just for the sake of it. I do know that I only have a couple of drinks a day though, and my tummy sometimes feels a bit grumbly, probably related?
Don't get me wrong, Sw is great and I'm enjoying it, I just could do with a boost. My weight loss tends to be 1 or 2 pounds on/off per month.
    Thanks for your help.

Many thanks for the messages of support-it is appreciated. I know that 4lb in 4 weeks is a good steady loss - I am just focussing on the fact that I have 7 stone to lose - it is my own fault for getting so lardy. It seems like a long uphill struggle and I am a bit daunted tbh. I must turn my frown upside down.! BCS very well done on your fantastic weight loss!
