    Today has been a bit naff on the food front as breakfast was more lunch by the time i got my back side into gear.

    So looks like this on EE

    B/L, beans on toast, apple and banana
    T, HM turkey chilli, rice and salad - almost half plate was salad.
    S, turkish delight mullerlight, Toffee crisp mini bar (5) hot choc (2)

    Yesterday went to pot as was supposed to have turkey bolognese but the seed was sown for a chinese - was very good having the chicken in mushrooms @ 5.5syns with boiled rice, 2 mini veg spring rolls (4) but then the dark choc peanut M&MS came out :o 3rd of pack approx 16syns?? so taking it lighter today and next few days to compensate.

  • I'm doing a roast chicken tomoro for the first time since joining.
    I know you are supposed to remove skin/fat etc before cooking, but you can't remove the skin of a chicken before roasting can you?

    On chicken up to now i havent removed skin from a whole bird always cooked it as it was in foil and as soon as it has been rested prior to carving i take it all off and feed it straight to the dog to save temptation. My son however removes skin from the thighs and drumsticks he cooks for snacking on so that he can keep the flavour of the Nando's rubs he puts on.
    All other joints i buy from the extra lean range in sainsburys.

  • I've had a hard day today, not because i'm struggling with the diet as much but worrying whether I will of lost anything when I weigh myself Monday.

    Over the years i've tried every diet going & when i'm losing weight it's great but as soon as I stall I go off the rails and give in. This time I can't afford to give up as I can't have my surgery unless I lose the weight.

    Anyway I hope everyone else has had a good day. :A

    Breakfast - I wholemeal toast from 400g loaf (3 syns), 3 grilled bacon, 1 dry fried egg, 1/2 tin beans, 1 apple, 2 plums & tea using milk (HEA).

    Lunch - Bowl of Beef & Vegetable Stew leftover from yesterday.

    Dinner - Poached Haddock, new spuds, broccoli, corn on the cob, peas & black grapes.

    Dessert - Frozen coconut Muller fat free greek youhurt (0.5 syns), banana & mixed berries. It was delicious & I felt like I was eating a sundae :D

    IMG_2654_zpsca590f90.jpg

    Snacks - 2 Alpen Light bars (HEB), 2 jumbo snack a jacks (5 syns), 1/2 Milky Way :o (3 syns).
    I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

  • Thanks stef. Thought it would be a bit weird lol
  • Hello, I dont know what plan i'm following if i'm honest :rotfl:. No seriously I went to Slimming World on Thursday to join up again after all this time, joined the Q and then left! I couldnt do it I wimped out. The thing is it was soooo busy like 60+ people which just put me off. So I thought I would do it at home again. The way it was last time I joined was "red" & "green" days, with an "a" option and 2 "b" options and 10-15 syns. Does this still work?

    How I thought my days menu from yesterday went:

    1 sachet of porriage Quaker oats = 1B & 1/2 A (Skimmed milk)
    1 Kit Kat 2 fingers = 5.5 syns
    X3 Sweet onion crispbreads with dairylead = 1B & 1/2 A (Skimmed milk)
    Mushroom omlet =free
    Boiled Potatos = free
    Peas = free
    Apple = free

    Green day. The thing is I wasnt sure how many crispbreads I was allowed, back in the day I use to have 2 slices of nimble instead of crispbread. But like I said it's been years since I went so not sure if any of the above is right?! :(
