I have an OH to consider and don't want to freak hom out thinking he's on some starvation rations or ODing on healthfoods.
So slowly slowly catchy monkey for me, I have about 1 stone I would like to shift and hoping OH won't notice I have him on a diet too!!
I've already incorporated a few SW dinner recipes; tonight for dinner I did the homemade mustard sausage recipe posted earlier in this thread but made them into rounded little patties and baked in the oven, served with jacket potato and baked beans. This was an overwhelming hit with the bloke and he's of course none the wiser that this was a SW recipe.Hi kiwi and welcome. There's no way your OH (or you!) should feel starved on SW or be eating 'odd' foods. My OH happily eats SW food and enjoys it. He's pleased (and has often said so) that we eat healthy meals mostly all cooked from scratch.
I feel like a broken record saying this but one of the biggest priorities for SW is to eat plenty of fruit and veg: superfrees. Obviously, I don't know whether you're doing EE or another plan or what you ate the rest of the day but baked beans aren't superfree. Next time you do that meal you'd be better having, say, broccoli or pickled onions or beetroot with it.
Good luck and ask as many questions as you like (and try to feed the leftover c*ap to your OH!).:)
Welcome to the thread kiwisaver. Like Maman and others, I feed my OH the same as I have 95% of the time and he loves it because it is just 'normal food' (we have pretty much the same portions as well - since quantity isn't limited on SW I can have a generous amount too!), although he has extra goodies like biscuits etc. In terms of superfree, if OH asks for, say, beans, I'll do beans but also do veg and give myself more veg and a few spoonfuls of beans and vice-versa for him- keeps us both happy and it's good for him to eat more veg than he would normally. He even asks me to cook some SW things now - chips, cheese and ham omelettes and hairy dieters paella being particular faves
After all the talk of roasted broccoli yesterday I made some to go with our lasagne. The piece I had in the fridge was yellowing a bit but was fine when roasted. It was so nice (and as I said earlier, still craving some) that I have just been out to Lidl in my lunch break to get some more - superfree food, moneysaving and 30 mins body magic in one fell swoopMight put some proper garlic and a bit of parmesan in it tonight, mmm

Thanks Stef,
I know that's poor for today, but I'm desperate to get my weight shifting.
I have Hex A of 250 ml SS milk in my coffees each day.
Looks like I'm skipping Hex B just for today
Sorry I'm down about it all and have lost any appetite at the mo.0 -

Banjo Bear
your clothes wont feel looser because your body has prob gone into starvation mode..i am sorry but you are not eating enough.
Starving yourself is not the way forward..you will end up doing more harm than good..
From what you have mentioned above - you are consuming no more than 600 calories today. Please try & have your hex B for today at least.. It doesnt seem like you are doing any plan because of the lack of veggies/fruit/meat etc

Sorry Macpep I missed that, well done on your loss!
Banjo - I was flicking through my book this morning and saw a bit just before the syns section called something like '10 tips for weight loss' (it wasn't that but can't remember exactly what it was called now!). Number 9 said something along the lines of 'don't be scared of free food, it's there for you to eat as much as you want to satisfy your hunger. People will tell you that "you can't lose weight eating all that" but you can and will'. When I read that I thought of you. If you don't lose what you hoped for this week please try following the plan to the letter, just for a week, and see what happens. I don't want to be harsh but if I'm honest if I were you I would be peeved about paying £5 a week for a diet which you're not actually following- you could live on fruit and yogurt for free, so you may as well get your money's worth, at least while you're still attending class2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

EE... struggling with HEA at the moment though, I don't really want the limited dairy options I can have.
Breakfast - Porridge (HEB), banana, coffee
Snack - Special K bar (5), apple
Lunch - Brown rice sushi (0.5) and salad
Snack - Lactofree cheese and maybe a ryvita (1 when not HEB? need to double check this in my book)
Dinner - Salmon and vegetables
Pudding - FF yoghurt (0.5)
So still have a few syns to play with.Breast_Cancer_Survivor wrote: »I know your not supposed to keep weighing yourself but I looked like i'd lost weight this morning (my stomach isn't sticking out so much & I go in under my boobs).
I've lost another 1lb since Monday. :j:j
I've got my hospital appointment today & i'm feeling really anxious as I know my surgeon is going to say I can't have the surgery until my BMI is lower.
I'm just over 16 stone but to be in the healthy BMI range for my height 5'4" I need to weigh about 8 stone. I haven't weighed that little since before I started puberty.
Fingers crossed he will give me a more realistic target to aim for or I might lose motivation.
I really want/need the surgery but will never ever be able to get down to 8 stone. The lowest I can remember being whilst an adult is 10 stone & I was classed as over weight even then *sigh*.
Someone else already said it, but to reiterate 10 stone at your height (I am a similar height) is within the healthy range. You can go up to 10st 5lb according to the NHS calculator. 12 stone 6 would take you out of the obese range (over 30) so would be a good goal in my mind. I'm sure the surgeon will advise where you need to be though, good luck!0 -
