Hi all,

Massive congrats Lush, great news :D Good luck to Mr TIE also!

Not much to say today- feel much better after a day on track, and although I'm at another away day tomorrow with lunch provided I reckon I should be able to have a couple of little sandwiches, some fruit and plenty of coffee!

Made lentil and bacon soup on Sun and a big lasagne yesterday so this week's menus are going to be a be a bit repetitive, sorry folks!

B: Porridge (B), maple syrup (2), milk (A), banana
L: Lentil and bacon soup, satsuma
T: Lasagne (2 for cheese), roasted broccoli (got a craving for it now!)
S: Shape yog (0.5), caramel Rocky (5)

Have a good day all, and 'see' you on Fri :)

Lost 3st 5lb with Slimming world so far!!
• I know your not supposed to keep weighing yourself but I looked like i'd lost weight this morning (my stomach isn't sticking out so much & I go in under my boobs). :o

I've lost another 1lb since Monday. :j:j :D

I've got my hospital appointment today & i'm feeling really anxious as I know my surgeon is going to say I can't have the surgery until my BMI is lower.

I'm just over 16 stone but to be in the healthy BMI range for my height 5'4" I need to weigh about 8 stone. I haven't weighed that little since before I started puberty.

Fingers crossed he will give me a more realistic target to aim for or I might lose motivation.

I really want/need the surgery but will never ever be able to get down to 8 stone. The lowest I can remember being whilst an adult is 10 stone & I was classed as over weight even then *sigh*. :(
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Hi to all of you, just delurking here to put my oar in and say hello. I registered online last week with SW and been trying my best to catch up with this thread but still miles back and on a steep learning curve. I've not yet fully risen to the challenge of doing this full on properly but will endeavour to improve one meal at a time. Hoping the dots will join up eventually and that perhaps me might seamlessly transition to get with the programme fully, whilst I learn what's what and use up some of the !!!! that's in my fridge and freezer.

I'm trying to soak up menu ideas, meal plans and such like getting to grips with what's right and wrong. I have saved loads of recipes and actually looking forward to working these into our new regime. I have an OH to consider and don't want to freak hom out thinking he's on some starvation rations or ODing on healthfoods. :D So slowly slowly catchy monkey for me, I have about 1 stone I would like to shift and hoping OH won't notice I have him on a diet too!!

I've already incorporated a few SW dinner recipes; tonight for dinner I did the homemade mustard sausage recipe posted earlier in this thread but made them into rounded little patties and baked in the oven, served with jacket potato and baked beans. This was an overwhelming hit with the bloke and he's of course none the wiser that this was a SW recipe.

Look forward to chatting with you some more, as I find my SW feet. Good luck and well done to all those already well under way and thanks for all the fantastic info I have gleaned from this thread so far! :T

Well 2lb off for me this morning, :D so almost lost the 3lb I put on when not on plan, hoping for 1.5 to take me to 1st mark next week!

Lush - Well done to you on getting the job you really wanted. :T:j
Sending over positive "got the job vibes" to MR TIE!

Fannyanna - Hope you are having a better day today :D chin up x
Banjo - Well done on resisting :T bet you felt so good about yourself this morning.

Welcome Kiwisaver, this is a great support thread, I dont do online or go to class I got copies of the books from my friend. My hubby loves the SW meals, only one he hasnt liked so far was beef in black bean sauce from SW mag and he doesn't feel he is on a diet as he still eats his "normal" things. Enjoy your SW journey x

B - Melon, berries, pineapple, strawberries with nat yoghurt
L - WM pitta (b) with 1/2 tin salmon mixed with tbsp tomato ketchup (1 syn), salad, pineapple, strawberries, melon, satsuma

10 stone at 5'4'' is a healthy bmi. I am 5'4'' and weigh 10 stone 3lbs, so I am right at the top of my bmi but my body fat percentage is healthy and i'm a size 10-12 so that is good enough for me!
Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j

Hi kiwi and welcome. There's no way your OH (or you!) should feel starved on SW or be eating 'odd' foods. My OH happily eats SW food and enjoys it. He's pleased (and has often said so) that we eat healthy meals mostly all cooked from scratch.

I feel like a broken record saying this but one of the biggest priorities for SW is to eat plenty of fruit and veg: superfrees. Obviously, I don't know whether you're doing EE or another plan or what you ate the rest of the day but baked beans aren't superfree. Next time you do that meal you'd be better having, say, broccoli or pickled onions or beetroot with it.

Good luck and ask as many questions as you like (and try to feed the leftover c*ap to your OH!).:)
