Thanks everyone - got the leaflet from my consultant last night - it looks like i just up my healthy a & b by 1 each until breastfeeding which is definately doable!

I have a recipe for SW pumpkin pie if you wanted to use part of your squash for something other than soup

    16oz (450g) pumpkin (cooked & mashed)
    1 medium egg
    1tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp pumpkin spice (1.5tsp cinnamon, 0.5 tsp ginger, 0.25 tsp allspice, 0.5 tsp nutmeg)
    1 level tbsp honey
    1/4cup sweetener (6tbsp)
    Frylight

    Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
    Mix all together
Spray tin/dish with frylight & put in mixture
Bake for 50-60 mins (or until knife comes out clean)

Yum Yum Im going to make this next time I get a squash in my veg box.

Hi Im new here. I ordered my starter pack yesterday as my Mother has chickened out of going to the classes so we are going to try it ourselves from home.
I only discovered this thread yesterday so Im slowly working my way through it but it looks very encouraging.
Just for info should I sign up for the online slimming world membership or dont I need it?

    Thanks

    i just cant understand why i gained..so bleating on i know.:(:o

Try not to worry - if it really isn't justified it will go next week. Could it be hormones, not drinking enough water, constipation?! I bet you'll see a good loss next week so try and hang in there :)

  • Good afternoon guys, hope your all well.

Thanks to a very kind person I now have newer books. :T

Today hasn't gotten off to a great start, I burn't my hand on the saucepan I was boiling my egg in which resulted in me looking like i've been branded. Burning my bacon & my egg wasn't cooked enough anyway grrr.

    Rant over. :rotfl:

Breakfast ended up being a burn't bacon sandwich with no boiled egg, an apple & a satsuma.

Lunch will be a jacket spud with beans & salad.

    I'll post dinner later. :A

No maman, thankfully I kept temptation at bay. Going to bed early helped

Thanks for re-quoting the Speed Soup mich_city, I've just made some.

WI on Thursday morning, so being extra extra careful. If I don't see a 2lb loss, I'll cry!

    B. muller light yog with 30 g muesli ( HEx B)
    S. orange.
L 2 muller light yogs with summer fruits.
    S. orange. Apple.
    D. Speed Soup.

250 ml SS milk (HEx A) in coffees.

MY have a small glass of wine depending on how I feel.

Good luck everyone. I can sympathise with those that are struggling like myself.

I really dont think you are eating enough.

    I ate tons yesterday :o

    B. muller light yog and 30g muesli. Orange
    S. orange
    L. Leftover SW fish pie, broccoli, carrots
    S. muller light Greek yog. Orange.
    D. Grilled skinless turkey breast, SW wedgies, broccoli, carrots, courgettes.

My local supermarket had loads of reduced broccoli 30p a kilo. I love broccoli, any ideas as to what I can do with it, as it needs to be used sooner rather than later. I didn't know whether to put some in the Speed Soup.

BB, I would put it in the speed soup but also try making some kind of brocolli cheese dish (instead of cauliflower) or chop it small and put in a pasta dish?

You could try freezing some but I am not sure if it will go soggy.

Really hope you manage to get at least one job offer from all these interviews, you certainly cant be accused of not trying :D

You must have one amazing CV lush, to get so many interviews in one week! Hope you get a choice of which to go for.:)

Good to see you back Blodwen. Not a bad gain for a week away and you should lose it easily.
    i just cant understand why i gained..so bleating on i know.:(:o

Bleat on!;) I'm a great believer in 'everything catches up with you' be it good or bad. So if you've been on plan, the loss will show....eventually!

You should eat loads every day banjo and have syns (unless saving them). I think the OS people would say blanch and freeze your broccoli but I'm no expert. You could try searching/posting on the OS board.

Hello rikimuk, why not try following the plan from the books (and help from here) before committing yourself to online membership. Plus you'e got your mum as a weightloss 'buddy'. It means you won't be able to access the website for syn values and the like but it's worth a try.
